Clean hotel with reasonable rates. The bed was comfortable and we loved that there was a regular size refrigerator to use in the room. Close proximity to local pubs and grocery stores.
Convenient location near everything we needed to include two grocery stores close by. Breakfast included in the reservation was good with fresh oranges, yoghurt, eggs, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, dry cereal and make-your-own waffles.
Overall the hotel and the room was clean and well kept. The breakfast had a good selection of food and was well stocked. The bed was a little firm for my liking but it was still comfortable. I would stay there again.
Clean hotel with nice comfortable bed and fluffy pillows. Close to town, shopping and other amenities nearby—grocery store, drug store, gas station, fast-food.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Having a refrigerator & microwave in our room was awesome! Your cleaning team was very pleasant…
The free breakfast was less desirable!
There was no microwave in the breakfast area to heat up cold food.
Also, when front desk manager was mopping the floor. He never used wet floor signs and he mopped the whole hallway at one time.
Nice, small town atmosphere. Quiet and Clean in rooms and common areas. Friendly and helpful staff. Location near shopping, gas, restaurants, and activities. Gently working on updating some services.
This is the second time that we have stayed at the Quality Inn in Shepherdstown. It is our go-to hotel when we visit. The hotel is clean and well-maintained. The rooms are nicely appointed, and the beds are comfortable to sleep in. The showers are very hot and could be better adjusted to body temperature. The breakfast is reasonable as it has ready-made omelets, sausage, waffles, cereal, bread, bagels, coffee, and tea (only Lipton). Check-in and check-out were very easy and the staff is very friendly. Be aware that cleaning service occurs every 3rd day. The surrounding area has a supermarket, fast food, and ice cream. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and look forward to the next time we come to Shepherdstown.
A very inexpensive place to hang your hat for a few days if you’re visiting the Civil War battlefields and the surrounding area, the staff is so so very helpful again I can’t say enough about the staff. They were kind helpful with places to go in places to see and yeah, I can’t say anything bad about the place. Thank you for the great day.
We stayed at this hotel while riding the C&O Tow Path. The staff was very supportive of accommodating our bicycles. There was a liced room for them. The included breakfast was plentiful with a variety of options. We would definitely stay here again.
Clean, quiet, and comfortable. The free breakfast had a nice selection. No pool or fitness room, so don't expect many amenities aside from the free breakfast. We stayed for a weekend trip to the Harper's Ferry area -- river tubing on the Shenandoah and a visit to the National Park. It's a good location for a reasonable price.
The breakfast was tasty, parking was fine, the room was nice, the staff were super friendly. The room wasn’t thoroughly cleaned, but also not super dirty (I used to be a housekeeper, it’s just the easy-to-miss, or hard-to-remember areas that most people don’t care about). I would stay there again in a heartbeat!
