"We enjoyed our stay. The room was lovely, spacious and clean. We had a good night sleep even though it was new year's eve with lots of firework. The room was very quiet.
There were however 2 unfortunate things:
1. Check-in was not so easy as we didn't get any information about the check in. The time and telephone number on the website and Expedia our different which made it difficult at first to find our way.
2. Breakfast was included in the nearby bar. Unfortunatly the bar was closed and the...

"Very clean and modern. Beds were comfortable. Nice coffee and restaurant next store plus about 15 min walk to the old city. Paid parking from 9am-2pm and 4pm-9pm on the street. Parking also in a near by garage building. Check in was on time."

"The place is located close/walking distance to the city center. We have to call the proprietor as this not a hotel, we were asked to pick up our keys at the caffe (where we had our Italian breakfast- delicious pastry and coffee too). The room was on 3rd floor, elevator is working well. The building is clean and safe. The only thing we have to say was the bathroom door doesn't close (looks like door was smaller??). Our hostess was very helpful and pleasant. "

"Nice room in a very spacious Suite of rooms. The common area is huge and very nicely furnished. Simona is the host and she provides fantastic breakfasts. Our only problem was parking. Only a very, VERY small car can fit in the underground garage. "

"The property said they didn't get our booking from Expedia, even though we had confirmation and had pre-paid for the room. They tried to move us to another hotel but we had pre-paid and they also had an upgraded room available in the same property. When I refused they put us in the upgraded room. "

"Without doubt one of the best hotels we have stayed in. The Palazzo is stunning and Alfonso, Francesca, Matteo and all the staff were incredible. Nothing was too much trouble and the attention to detail was exemplary. From the moment of arrival with a welcome cool towel and fresh juice to collecting our car from the car park and packing it for us, they made us feel very special and welcome. I was even given a delicious piece of still warm chocolate cake whilst sitting reading my book. Perfecto! The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable and everything to see and do is walkable from the hotel. We can’t recommend it highly enough. We loved every second of our stay there. "

This is not a Grand hotel in the sense of the Danieli or Excelsior, however, that is probably because they choose not to have a restaurant, even though they put out a sumptuous breakfast and have a commercial kitchen and plenty of staff. Our room had filthy old green carpeting, but we noticed in the long hallway that some rooms have modern wood flooring, which is much more sanitary I don't know why we weren't given the upgrade since we are hotel gold members. The only other issue was the parking which we tried to reserve well in advance, but was unavailable, which was disappointing since we have a brand new Mercedes-Benz . The staff was very pleasant and the bathroom was spacious and had the best shower of our trip. Overall, it was good value for the money and it's probably one of the better hotels in Lecce."

There is only one minor suggestion I would give related to better handling of credit cards without leaving a paper trail. Other than that it was perfect and also great value for money. "
