"I loved this hotel. It had the best bathtub I have ever used in Japan. The layout of the room was great. It was very quiet and the bed was very comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel!"

"I made the right choice to stay here. One of the best experience I had in Kyoto, I wished I booked more than a night. The staff were very welcoming and courteous, they gave me a 5 star service. The room, actually it was more of a suite, was clean. I felt like I was in a different world when I was there because of the set up/ambiance. They also have a great location, just right beside the shrine.
Just don’t bring heavy luggage because of the stairs, I felt bad that they carried my heavy luggage...

"We had an amazing 3 day stay at Art Mon Zen. From the moment we arrived to leaving, the staff were exceptional and extremely attentive. Probably the best hotel stay in Japan. Overall, the room was very comfortable and relaxing after a long day visiting all the sensational sights in Kyoto. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay near the main Gion district in Kyoto."

"The staff welcomed us the minute we stepped into the lobby. Rather than standing at the reception desk, they sit with you at a table and you check-in. The onsen is nice and clean, our room was a good size, and the room amenities are replenished daily. I would stay here again. "
"Great onsen onsite and a traditional tatami experience. Guests are required to take your shoes off when you arrive at the hotel which adds to the hominess of the stay"
