"This place is awesome. I wish we had stayed longer. We stopped here for the night because it is the half way point for the Shimanami Kaido bike route. The residence was an independent structure with a large window looking out to the sea and the bridge. Sunrise was gorgeous. The unit has a beautiful bathroom, very nice bedroom and new clean kitchen. Everything about the residence was top-notch, including the amenities. The breakfast and dinner that we chose were amazing. Loved this place....

"Beautiful 100 year old ryokan with a nice garden and a simple but nice onsen. The staff kindly got larger yukatas for my wife and me and they were very classy looking. Beautiful setting right by the water. Convenient to restaurants and shops."

"My daughter and I traveled to Japan for two weeks and stayed here in the middle of a 70K Shimanami Bike trip. I wish so much we'd booked an additional night. Of the seven hotels/ryokans we stayed during our trip, this was heads above all the others. The rooms were beautifully decorated and spacious and the ryokan was quite peaceful. The staff was wonderful- helpful and attentive. If I'm ever lucky enough to return to Japan and visit this area again, I'll return to this lovely property."

"They have very kind reception, even parking lot is far from the hotel around 3min by on foot, it doesn’t matter to me. If I go there again, i promise to reserve this hotel again."

"I really loved this retro hotel on top of the mountainside. I had the mysterious looking onsen all to myself several times around 9-10 pm and it was so cool. The view is amazing and the food was very good. Just know that you are really in the countryside and to get to Onomichi it is going to take at least an hour using public transit. Taxis are available as long as you are willing to spend a little money. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I used this hotel as my home base while doing the...

"The house is massive and super cute! Lots of space to sleep and hang out. Full kitchen (cutest tiniest oven ever), and free washer/dryer with soap provided. Bathtub has an automatic heating feature which was super cool coming from a Canadian who has never seen this before. Super close to the ferry port. Fairly accessible by public transport from Hiroshima airport. "

"As much as I'd like to recommend staying here on your trip to bunny island, I cannot. The host did provide details for self check-in, but the property is in various states of disrepair. The AC is left off during the summer, so when we entered, it was hot and humid. The bathroom was left off as well and had accumulated mold. It smelled atrocious to the point we were pretty sure it would be a hazard to use it. I don't expect to incur any penalties, but the host also had many fee addendums...

"New, clean and well staffed hotel at Hiroshima station Impressive, but pricey restaurant, but no on-site laundry. Quick and easy check in. Lobby employee gave directions to Jab Jab Wash 3 blocks outside station. 7-11 right outside station entrance to hotel. Room was clean and had a small sitting area and functional bathroom. Beside bus and trolley station adds convenience. "
"Room was spacious and very clean. Very convenient to train station and easy to catch airport bus close by. Only downsides were the hotel did not have coin laundry and had to pay extra fee to use gym. Would still highly recommend "
"Really enjoy the stay in Hotel Route Inn. Very good value for the cost I paid.

"The hotel is not quite "ekimae" (in front of the station), but it's only a couple of blocks away. Friendly and solicitous staff went a long way toward making my stay enjoyable. And the price-performance is good, especially when Hiroshima hotels are full or crazily priced. One thing: I had to book a "smoking" room, because all the non-smoking rooms were booked. There's a reason they were all booked, Japan hoteliers: no one wants a smoking room, not even smokers. End smoking in hotel rooms!"

"Super convenient for arriving by train (3 minute walk) and leaving by plane (3 minute walk to bus). Also easy transportation options for seeing the town."
"This is great place to stay if you are on a budget. You may compensate a bit of room space for that price, but it's only 5 mins walk to station and naturally, you get variety of options for shopping, dining and transportations. "
"Only stayed for one night, but it was very comfortable and restful. Didn't try the the breakfast but there were plenty of options in the station nearby."
"Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations! Although it is far from tourist places in Hiroshima, it gets a 10/10 for the following reasons. First, the public bath was amazing and I loved the free face lotions they have in every bathroom. I got a cabin room and even though it looks small, I slept very well. Finally, the breakfast was amazing and I loved how they had Japanese and Western breakfast buffet options. If you plan on visiting Hiroshima, I highly recommend that you stay at this hotel. "
"Great hotel and location. The room was clean, spacious, and the bathroom was beautiful with shower and separate tub. Breakfast was big with lots of choices(Japanese and western) and was located on a high floor with a view! Easy check in/out and luggage service. Conveniently located across the street from the station and a 711 downstairs as well. "
"Friendly staff, tasty breakfast, unique modern style, clean bedroom and a comfortable bed. We couldn't ask for more for! We had a great night's rest before cycling the shiminami kaido, and the starting point is walking distance from lemonsea. Look forward to coming back!"
"It was a very nice stay. We had a room that slept 9 people. It was a strange setup with 3 bunkbeds. It was similar to a hostel, but private. I don't know what the other rooms are like, but it was perfect for my family of 6. We tried to book other nest hotels for our other cities."
