BEAUTIFUL view

We loved our stay at Silver Moon. The views from the deck were beautiful. Our only complaints would be the pillows and towels. The towels were worn out and dingy, the pillows on the beds need replacing and we would have loved to have more of them. But overall it was wonderful and we would definitely stay again.

Man sollte sich zweimal überlegen, eine Ferienwohnung als „atemberaubend“ zu bewerben, denn eine solche Werbeaussage führt zu einer besonderen Erwartungshaltung an Zustand und Qualität der Unterkunft, die man dann auch erfüllen muss. Insofern wurden wir hier enttäuscht, denn atemberaubend an diesem kleinen Reihenhaus ist lediglich die Aussicht (wenn jetzt im September kein Nebel herrscht). Das Foto mit der Aussicht von der nach Norden gerichteten Terrasse im Obergeschoss (eine recht steile Treppe hinauf) ist veraltet, diesen Blick gibt es nicht mehr, die Bäume sind inzwischen alle zu hoch gewachsen. Macht aber nichts, denn in leicht anderer Richtung gibt es einen wunderschönen Blick über die Küste, den Strand und die vorgelagerten großen Felsen. Schade, dass die Terrasse nur mit drei einfachen Stühlen möbliert ist. Ansonsten ist das Haus eher Mittelklasse; es gehört eine Garage dazu, nur fehlte eine Beschreibung, wie man hineinkommt, deshalb konnten wir sie nicht nutzen. „Zu Fuß zum Strand“, so wurde das Haus in Deutschland beworben, aber das erwies sich als Werbelüge, denn der Strand ist 2 km auf nicht begehbaren Straßen mit großem Höhenunterschied entfernt. Die Sauberkeit ließ teilweise zu wünschen übrig: alte Kaffeekapsel in der Kaffeemaschine und Kaffeereste in der Kanne, untere Küchenschubladen innen schmutzig, ein absolut ekliger Grillrost und der Geruch von Katzen oder Hunden in der Luft, das zeigt, hier wurde nur oberflächlich gereinigt. We had a wonderful time. Local pubs and food. The view was stunning. The place was amazing and very large. I could go on about how wonderful it was but people only r we sf so far when it’s a good review. But this was a great place

Oceanside getaway

That place was amazing but the second day in our trip we had roofers hammering away at 8am in the morning. I called immediately the property management and told them what was going on and they were very sorry and reimburse me for one of the nights that the roofers were there. All in all it was a great trip and please that we were taken care of. Thank you

Summer stay

Lovely view of the ocean, quiet space, comfortable beds. Close to beaches and great place to see stars at night! Needs more fans in the home to cool it down from afternoon sun. Windows and sliding door need screens so can keep windows open for cross breeze and keep bugs out. Also, recommend bringing own folding lawn chairs for sitting on deck if more than two people.

Awesome view, great location - what a nice place

Two bedrooms, private bathrooms, great view of the ocean, close to the beach - short drive and peaceful.. We loved the view morning, noon and night…. Restaurants were close by and all were great. Took a tour into Tillamook after enjoying a morning finding agates on the beach and admiring the tidal pool ocean life. Loved it all.

Nice View, Sparse Layout

The view was just great, but if I'd known Vacasa was managing the house, I would not have booked it. They are awful, always. While the aforementioned view was swell, the porch you look out over from was a bit decrepit. The gutters are all rusted through so water is dripping even though it didn't rain at all while we were there. Paint is peeling and some rotted wood. It's the coast, I get it. But fix the gutters...nobody wants rusty rainwater dripping on them. Second, I didn't see anywhere that said it was a duplex. Not a deal breaker, but good to know. Big clumps of dog hair and dust under the couch...not a problem unless your blanket and/or socks end up under it and pulll out tons of stuff...so yes, a problem. Vacuum under the freaking couch. Art is terrible, decor is bland and sparse. It's totally fine for a discount stay at the coast. Last thing, I asked for a one hour late checkout, til 11 am, as we had some early activities and wanted to shower before we hit the road. Check-in is 4 pm. It's a tiny place AND we didn't use the downstairs bedroom at all, which I let them know. Simply does not take 6 or even 5 hours to clean the place...maybe 2, 3 tops. In fact, we got a notice that an early check-in was ok at like 1 pm the day of our stay, sooooo, it really doesn't take long to clean it (and like seriously, how is an early check-in notice useful?) So an 11 am checkout should not have been an issue, right? But nope, they would not do it. Just dicks, plain and simple.

Stunning views and beautifully appointed condo

Great place to unwind. Ever changing views and awesome sunsets out the large windows. Kitchen and baths well stocked and clean. Not really walkable to beach but several beaches and parks nearby with trails for exercise and benches for viewing the beautiful Oregon coast and wildlife.

Perfect Three Arch view

Great view from balcony. Nice spacious great room (seating area, dining table and kitchen) with ocean views. Bedrooms (one first floor - one second floor off dining/kitchen area) comfy beds - each with bathroom. Although bedrooms didn't have ocean view each had nice view of wooded area around property. Short drive to Oceanside - our favorite town on the OR coast.

Everything Really Good, Except...

There were three annoying problems with an otherwise great property and experience. The ceiling fan in the main space did not work which was problematic as it was a hot spell in the PNW and no a/c. Also, the absence of drapes or blinds on the sliding glass door made it very warm in the afternoon. Finally, there was a bad smell from the bottom of the refrigerator about which we notified the management. Otherwise it was lovely.

Stunning views

Clean, spacious, super close to the beach (5 min drive). Lots to see near the property. I loved enjoying my morning coffee on the deck! Bed was comfortable, was great to do a load of laundry, and the kitchen allowed us to cook a nice meal. I would definitely stay here again.

Great View

This property is in an incredible location. Pros- the view - it’s worth everything Plenty of towels Easy access to coastal towns Cons Check the sheets to make sure they are washed. Property management is automated so responses take longer than usual and generic response. Check the property for any cooking supplies needed, there are a few things but we didn’t have salt - so just go there before you go to store.

Amazing View, but …

Upon arrival the unit was adorable and the view is amazing!! A few issues: downstairs window is broken, the pillows were dirty and the upstairs toilet seat was worn. I do caution those with little ones. Luckily, my 3 year old handled the stairs well and my infant isn’t crawling yet, otherwise, it would have been a bit scary with the stairs. However, although we only stayed one night, we had a nice time. The upstairs decor and the view made the stay. Once the issues listed above are fixed, I would definitely give this unit 5 stars.

Quiet, cozy, and amazing views!

If you're looking for a clean, bright and cozy spot near Oceanside beach with amazing views, this is it! It's high up from the beach tucked away in a little neighborhood, but very quiet and a quick drive to the beach access. Wonderful spot!

Great spot for for visiting the coast

The view is absolutely amazing. The place was clean. I read the reviews before I went, which was great because I packed the extras I needed (but did not need in the end). *Eat* >Current Coffee (Oceanside) was awesome for breakfast, lunch, snack & early dinner. > Rosana's cafe: Delicious Halibut dinner and carrot cake! 1. There were extra blankets 2. Plenty of laundry soap 3. Each room had its own thermometer, so really was no need for extra blankets on the bed. 4. Loved the dog towels, bowl, and bags. 5. Parking can really fit 1 car, maybe squeeze 2 cars. 6. Awesome kitchen to cook in and table to eat a good meal. 7. TV was impossible to figure out, I just connected to my laptop to watch movies. Would have been nice to have clear instructions. 8. 5-minute drive to 2 great beaches. 9. Great spots to SUP & SURF 10. Epic Hiking (Cape Lookout) 11. Whale watching

Great Sewing Retreat

Silver Moon was perfect for a weekend of sewing with a friend. Quiet, clean, and a great view to accompany hours of quilting. Kitchen was perfect for a little cooking, but bring your own coffee.

Easy location

Stayed for 2 nights. Ideal space for 4 adults. Take a small car as the driveway up and parking are is small. Clean and great view. Tillamook about 10 minutes away. Access to a lot of beaches.
