Lovely stay

We enjoyed our stay here. Upstairs was perfect with an infant and the gated balcony. Host was great with communication when we found a few things lacking and arranged supplies to be dropped off straight away. Enjoyed using the pool!

Island Adventure Holiday House

Overall staying at the house was fantastic and the owners were very helpful with information and easy to communicate with. As the person who slept in the room with the double bed bunk, my one and only complaint was sleeping on a slanted mattress due to the bed frame itself being bent. I still managed to sleep well enough, but it is something that should be addressed. That said, every other aspect of the stay was highly enjoyable, thank you.

Huge house with plenty of big open rooms for family to get together and enjoy. Very good kitchens, well equipped. Great outdoor dining areas, good pool. Location so good for easy walking to beach , bush and pub, food etc.

Another weekend in paradise

We had stayed here 16 years ago, and it was a fun time with the family. Having two areas made it great for those that needed some quiet, and downstairs great for my daughter who has FND and needs a wheel chair from time to time. Kids had heaps of room to play.

Amazing house in a fabulous location

Absolutely loved our stay here. The house was incredibly clean and had everything we needed. Perfect location close to the jetty and a lovely Italian restaurant and brewery. Communication with the host was helpful and responsive. The kids loved the possum which visited us most nights! Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful Family Holiday

This fantastic house was everything we hoped. Lots of space for 9 adults, two children under 6 years of age and 1 baby. The swimming pool was well used (although a bit chilly for us) and the tables on the upstairs veranda could easily fit us all. Amenities are as described but you will need to take all your own food requirements, cooking oil, paper towel, condiments, etc as well as laundry powder for the washing machine. We walked to the beach, the Maggie Island Brewery and had a very relaxing 4-night stay. We hope to return one day.

Great house and location

Great place to stay. Plenty of space, very comfortable bed and home. Can see the owners have put in a lot of work to make it comfortable for guests, highlights was the coffee machine with free coffee and the pool! Keep an eye on pool cleanliness, not sure if it was previous guests or a neighbour but we found some cigarette butts floating in the water. Solved easily with a skim of the pool and the rest of the house made up for it in terms of accommodation and location!

Beautiful spacious house ideal for family getaway

Thank you Mark & Rosemary for the perfect weekend getaway with family & friends. There were 14 adults staying & there was plenty of room. The house is in a great location, walking distance to pub & bus stop. We went to the Stage Door Theatre Restaurant on the Saturday night & had no trouble getting buses to & from the venue back to the house. The place was clean & well equipped. Great communication with Mark & Rosemary before hand & appreciate the earlier check in.

We enjoyed a lovely stay with the whole family, renting both upstairs and downstairs. With the two blow up mattresses there was enough space for everyone. Pool is lovely and access to beach and food is easy. The only draw back we found is the beds are okay, but not the most comfortable. Some of the frames are very squeaky keeping those sharing awake during the night and others are on their way to be those roll into the middle beds. But overall we loved it and would stay again.

Best place to celebrate 90 years well lived.

We gathered together in this majestic home on Magnetic Island to celebrate my mother in-laws 90th birthday, she had raised her family in Picnic Bay not far from this house, and had told us it was her special wish to celebrate her 90th birthday on Magnetic Island. The house was perfect, we spent lazy days together reminiscing and enjoying each other’s company on the verandas, in the lounges. Sometimes we played cards and board games, some of us braved the pool, my sister in law swam in ocean every day. At low tide we investigated the ship wreck and the tidal pools on the beach at Picnic Bay, and late at night we fished from the jetty and watched the moon rise in the night sky, and cast its shimmering light upon the water. We hiked up the hill to the lookout between Picnic Bay and Rocky Bay and saw splendid views that would rival any post card. We Saw koalas in Picnic Street, we saw wallabies and possums most nights and were serenaded often by kookaburras. This really was the perfect place to celebrate 90 years well lived, thank you so much for sharing this beautiful home with us.

Picnic Bay Gem

We had a group of 10 friends stay at this beauty of a home. Short walk from the beach and the pub and everyone was able to have a game of golf as well which was amazing. We absolutely loved staying at this home, highly recommend. Amenities were amazing as well. Thanks Mark and Rosemary! We will definitely stay again in the future x
