"Overall, we had an excellent stay at the Grand Plaza Hotel. It's walkable to the major sites. The staff were all very helpful and allowed us a late check out and others an early check in if they could. The breakfast was amazing with so many choices and the staff was very on top of refilling things that were emptied. We had a beautiful room, with an amazing view of the city and the other room had a castle view. The two things to be aware of - 1. The A/C works but not as well as other hotels we visited on Slovenia and it was an unusually cool few days. I'm not sure what it would do in the heat of the summer. 2. The bathroom is beautiful but has a shower/tub combo with a deep tub that was quite slippery. That may be a problem for some. "

"Basic property with no frills attached but I would stay there again. The location was perfect, in the old town, and it was very clean and quiet. There is street parking and garage parking. The street parking we had to pay the meter for but it was easy to do with the downloaded parking ap. On Sundays parking is free. You can park anywhere there are solid white lines on the road (yellow lines are for the residents) and we always found a spot close to the hotel. The front desk is helpful. They are not there 24/7. The hotel is up three flights of stairs but the receptionist offered and carried my bag up. This was a great stay and I would stay there again. "
"Staff were very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast at the hostel was very good with a lot of options. They had shared washrooms, but also some you could have privacy (toilet, sink, shower in closed in room)- very impressive which i've never seen anywhere else! The art on the walls, the rooftop views and ability to chill and have a drink at night was spectacular!
They had a kitchen that people were using that worked very well. Machines available for drinks/snacks and staff available to get alcohol or drinks. The smaller single cubes were very tiny, but were big enough for what they were for- a place for your stuff, a desk and stool, a storage place for clothes/etc. And rhe bed of course. I appreciated the variable color light control- super cool. I'd definitely come back!"

"This property was extremely highly rated and the pictures in the listing looked as if they were straight out of a copy of Architectural Digest. We have experienced properties with "edited" pictures so we kept our expectations low but when we arrived, we were excited to see that the unit was just as advertised!! Very modern design and being a top floor unit, it was quiet and peaceful with an stellar view. The listing shows all the great aspects of the unit's interior but they understandably don't give details of its exact location but let me just say the location and its proximity to the best of old town Ljubljana are fantastic. The location could not be any better!
It's a definite 5 star rating for me but if I were to improve anything it would just be to have better instructions for the washer/dryer unit. They included a binder with some photo copied pages of the actual instruction manual but they didn't correspond well with the actual machine. The machine buttons and dials were basically made up of vague symbols but the manual did not show any of these symbols in its instructions so it was difficult to figure out. Also, we could have used a little more details on how to dispose of the trash in the community bins. We had to ask some friendly locals to show us how to open them with the key card. But again, these were tiny issues that did not really affect our amazing stay at this awesome unit! "

"Fantastic! Location is in the thick of it. Parking is the closest you will find. Although do a bit of research if you are driving in. It’s great to printer on the days you are arriving and the night before you leave otherwise it’s probably half the rate on those days you aren't lugging stuff to walk 10 / 12 minutes out for half the price. The daytime hourly and flat rates overnight change for each garage. Do your homework on the variant rates. The view of the castle at night from your balcony is fantastic. Tons of restaurants literally a step from your door. It’s very busy at night with loads of young adults 25? They stay out late but the apartment is pretty soundproof. Had everything we needed and communication via WhatsApp was great! Really easy to work with and they checked in on us. Great company. Had a folder of information ready with language phrases and other details. Really well presented. "

The centre of Ljubljana with all the shops, cafes and restaurants - and the river and bridges - are all just a few minutes walk away.
