Details matter, and this property just falls a bit short of being recommended. The trip here started with being notified that the fitness center was closed for renovation. It was a "selling point" when the trip was booked. The beds are worn to the point of feeling like sleeping in a bowl. The room showed wear-and-tear on areas that shouldn't be for a property of this price level. The microwave in the lobby doesn't work (to heat up the snacks that are also sold in the lobby)...and wasn't labeled as out-of-order. Probably the worst aspect of the trip was while at breakfast, we witnessed a maintenance staff member kill a bat with a rock on the sidewalk (throwing the rock multiple times on the animal) right outside the window of the breakfast area. That could have been handled better.
