We explored the Hilo side from here for a few days. Place is well situated for visiting National Park. We went to see eruption multiple times in a day. Two full bathrooms in mirrored split plan home. Our bed was very comfortable and bedroom is carpeted which was nice during chilly mornings. We would recommend a stay. This is not a fancy high end accommodation. It is clean, comfy and homey. Reminded me of my grandparents’ vacation home. ##### Anna Marie P. We chose this cottage as it was nearby and convenient for us. The home was clean and neat and had everything we needed. We did call the property manager once during our stay - the battery in the smoke detector died and needed replacement. It happened very late in the afternoon and we didn't want to deal with a beeping smoke detector all night. It didn't take long for Dwayne to arrive and replace the battery. He didn't seem at all upset for the late call. Thank you, Dwayne! We would recommend this property if you are looking to stay close to the National Park or if you just want a nice, quiet and comfy place for a get-away. Se hospedó 3 noches en enero de 2025 ### 10/10 Excelente #### Vanessa S. 22 ene. 2025 Le gustó: Limpieza #### A Great Getaway We had to To make some last-minute changes to our trip so we decided to split it up by spending one half of it on the Kona side and the other half on the volcano side. This place is a true gem. Quiet and secluded it was the perfect place for us. It was our first time traveling long distance without kids. I loved being able to go outside at night and just look up and see all the stars so clearly. While we are on this side of the island, we spent some time at the volcano, walking the trails and then some of it down in Hilo. Depending on where you’re coming from just make sure you stop and get groceries before you get there. Otherwise there’s a market not too far from there in the village. Would definitely recommend this for families or people who like to explore. ##### Vanessa S.
