"Room had a strong cleaning solution. so much that we were tasting it. bathroom could be updated with a new tub. Toilet could be higher, overall it was clean and we were comfortable except for the strong smell."

"This is our 3rd time at the hobbit house & we will continue coming. It is the perfect getaway for my wife & I, & our dog Cleo. The house is amazing with all the amenities & decor. there are areas to hike/walk around the property. It feels so secluded out here. Cleo has the opportunity to get her running in. But the best part are our host Randy & Lisa. They make you feel so welcome & anything you need all you do is ask. But they also leave you be & let you enjoy the experience. Can't wait to get back."

"It was very private and quiet and a secluded area. It was a clean, cute little place. Only thing that drove me crazy was the acorns that kept falling on the tin roof. Overall great stay!"

"The Gillen House is a perfect destination if you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful getaway that is close to Athens and not too far away from Atlanta. The hosts, Edward and Cynzia, were very welcoming and made us feel at home. The food at breakfast was excellent. Especially the steaks and sides that we had for dinner on our arrival evening. The room was spotless and perfect. We definitely enjoyed our stay!"
