"We just returned from the most amazing stay at this beautiful cabin on the lake in the Upper Peninsula, and we are already dreaming of coming back! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the peaceful setting, stunning lake views, and cozy atmosphere of the cabin.The cabin itself was spotless, well-equipped, and full of charming rustic touches that made us feel right at home. We loved waking up to the sound of loons on the water and enjoying our morning coffee on the deck overlooking the lake. The sunsets here are simply breathtaking—every night felt like a postcard!Everything we could have needed was provided—comfortable beds, a fully stocked kitchen, and even a fire pit for s’mores under the stars. It was the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. We spent our days fishing and taking advantage of the nearby waterfalls and sightseeing spots, which were absolutely stunning.The hosts were outstanding—so friendly, welcoming, and quick to answer any questions. You can tell they truly care about making sure guests have a wonderful experience.If you’re looking for a peaceful, lakeside retreat to relax, recharge, and reconnect with nature, this is the place. We made so many great memories here and can’t wait to return! Highly recommend!"

"A warm welcome by Jay with tips and directions to help the family get settled. The cottage was well prepared for a long or short stay. While an older decor, the cottage has been well maintained and offered some nostalgic forms of media (cassette deck, cassette tapes and dvd player). The days and nights were almost completely silent with plenty of privacy. The screen porch was very nice for dining without bugs buzzing around your plate. This was a very memorable visit and hope to visit again."

"Great fit for 3 couples on a getaway to see waterfalls in the area. Air conditioning doesn't really reach the bedrooms, so sleeping was a liitle warm."

"Great overall. Cabin was clean and cozy but a little heavy with furniture to navigate around. No toliet so thank gooodness I packed some and left a couple rola for the next guests. I’m convinced the giant tadpoles ate all the fish…not even a nibble. The hill going up to the cabin can be tough for someone with health issues. Big rocks along the shoreline makes it dificult to get in the water. Overall, it was a great stay with a nicely secluded can in the woods. My favorite part was the firepit. "

"If you are looking for an actual Northwoods experience, this is the place. I have been visiting the Northwoods of Wisconsin since 1992 and have stayed at many locations. All have their pros and cons. Pros: It is located on a great lake for fishing and is close to other attractions, such as waterfalls and touristy towns like Boulder Junction. Cons: Bring your own drinking water, as the rust is severe on this property, which is typical. Oh, the mosquitos are the state bird up in Valis County, and again, that is just par for the Northwoods. Bottom line, I will be going back to Idyllic this year. Chris has made the cabin very dog-friendly. "

"Another amazing stay at the cabin! This was our 3rd time and won’t be our last. The cabin is clean and well appointed, and the property is well cared for. There was plenty of room for our family to spread out. Sitting out on the deck overlooking the lake was our favorite place to be. Overall a fantastic time!"
