"Easy parking near room. Room was clean and neat..everything ie...air conditioning, heat, tv, lights and fan worked perfectly. Room code was provided prior to check in which made it easy to enter our room when we were ready. It was close enough to the Elk viewing areas that we could stay til late in the evening and be out early in the morning. Very nice place to stay"

"What a lovely place to stay! This place is immaculate! When we ran into a little problem, Jeff and Brooke solved it very quickly. We actually saw a bull Elk right in our front lawn, which was a highlight! There were wild turkeys in the back yard! The back patio is very nice including the fire pit and hot tub! If we ever come back to this area we'll definitely check in here! Lots of good memories! Thanks Jeff and Brooke "

"This was brand new cabin which was very spacious. Many extra touches…fabulous coffee bar, snacks and even toiletries (not the standard) in the bathroom. The fire pit was inviting but it was so dry we opted for the porch where we listened to the elk bugling. You are right in the main elk viewing area but on a quiet side road. We stayed for 2 nights. Very comfortable accommodations. Kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook for the family. We did communicate with the hosts and they were super friendly and quick to call back. We happened to be renting when the fire broke out at one of the fields near the elk visitors center. The hosts checked in on us often. I would definitely rent from these hosts again. "

"My family attended a family wedding the week a the Dam Inn and reserved both Gone Fishing and Barely Awake for the weekend.We found both properties to be very clean, nicely furnished and looked to be almost brand new.Both cabins are situated with the North Branch of the Clarion river running through the back of the property. When we did have free time, it was spent enjoying the early fall weather in the comfortable chairs around the firepit. If we would have had more time, we certainly would have taken advantage of the fire pit, fishing opportunities in the back yard or kayaking down the river.The two cabins are appoximately 30 yards appart and you can easily walk between them in the grass path or the gravel roadway.The only caution that I would give is that the cell service is very limited in that area of Elk county so calling or GPS service is difficult to get. If you are not familiar with the area, make sure that you print out a map and load the address into your directional app prior to leaving St Mary's as it's not available near the cabin. Also, plan on texting with members of your party as the cell service in the area is very schetchy.Everyone commented that they would have like to have spend more time at the cabins.Communications with our host was great. Jess was very responsible and checked on us after we checked in."
