"Our experience at this remarkable property was truly wonderful. The high-grade grill allowed us to enjoy delectable meals, while the host's communication was outstanding. The house was immaculately maintained and equipped with everything we needed. The fishing pond and fire pit were fantastic amenities, and the grandchildren had a blast playing ping pong, swinging, ziplining - every moment was enjoyable. We look forward to returning next year, having made many fantastic memories.Thank you!"
Amazing Adirondack Sunsets with Log Cabin Memories on Upper Chateaugay Lake
10/10 Excellent
"The property and cabin were just as shown. We spent most our time out doors enjoying the lake and local hikes. The one thing about this cabin unlike others in the area, it is surrounded by trees and sit back off the road. Even though there are neighbors on both side you don't notice them because of the trees. The cabin is very clean and had everything we needed and a large clean grill for cooking out. Highly recommend this cabin for 2 or a family of 4."
Riverside cabin, fly-fish for trout or just relax!
10/10 Excellent
"Place was amazing! My boys and I(19&24 yr olds) had a great time! Place had everything we needed and some! It was very clean and tidy. It was relaxing and peaceful. We caught some rainbow trout early morning and had a crane visit every morning! Hiked nearby Cascade Mountain for some amazing views of the high peaks... As well as a few rounds of golf in Malone. Hope to return again."
Adirondack Hideout, lakefront location and sandy shoreline
10/10 Excellent
"I had a great stay in the Adirondacks—Greg and Sue were welcoming, and the accommodations were excellent. The property is right on the Chateaugay Lakes, making it easy to kayak, paddleboat, fish, and explore both lakes. Nearby, I visited impressive spots like High Falls, Adirondack Park, Lake Placid, and Saranac Lake. Highlights included hiking to High Falls, riding the gondola up Whiteface Mountain, and trekking the Lyon Mountain Tower Trail for stunning views. This experience provided an excellent opportunity to unwind and take a break from daily routines. I highly recommend it."
"My husband and his family grew up on Chateaugay Lake and have such fond memories — especially of jumping off the bridge. When we needed to come up for a family graduation party and to celebrate his aunt’s 80th birthday, we started searching for a place to stay. It was surprisingly difficult to find something available — until I remembered VRBO.We are so grateful we found your cabin. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and so was the couch (though we didn’t spend much time sitting!). The location truly couldn’t have been better. Being right by the “jumping bridge” was such a meaningful touch, and we were only a few houses away from both his aunt and uncle’s homes, which made everything so convenient. We also really appreciated having the washer/dryer and the air conditioning — especially with the heat. The kids loved having WiFi, and all the nieces suddenly wanted to stay with us for that reason alone! Thankfully, our kids were more interested in fishing and swimming, so they barely touched their phones. Many memories were made during our stay, and we’ll definitely be back.Thank you so much!PS - take a morning kayak cruise. Its so peaceful with the Loons Also youre not far from Tasty Freeze — some of the best ice cream!"
Secluded Cabin On the Salmon River Peninsula With AC and Heat in Westville NY
10/10 Excellent
"Easy check-in via lockbox, great communication from Shawn, unexpected nice touches just made it easy to enjoy from the first moment of arrival. Love the screened in porch and the babble of the river, more lightning bugs than I have ever experienced in my life. Nice and quiet refuge. All positive things to say. Grill worked great, and loved the variety of seating options and fireplace. "
Lake Front Indian Lake Adirondack Camp w/ Boathouse, Sundeck & Boats
10/10 Excellent
"Loved the house, the area and the lake. House is as described, lake is lovely, tons of things to do just at the house and almost hard to leave and explore the area! Our families threw a dart at the map this year for our vacation and we ended up with one of the best trips we’ve had in a long time. Indian and Mountain View Lakes are hidden gems in the Adirondacks and the house is full of history and tradition. Thanks to the owners for sharing this house! "
"We were looking for a magical place to celebrate my wife’s milestone birthday. This cabin delivered on all fronts. The property was gorgeous, all six acres providing privacy and a sense that we were miles from civilization. The cabin itself was warm and welcoming. It’s not often that one has the opportunity to stay in a log cabin made of hand hewn logs. Everything about the space was inviting and relaxing. Being surrounded by an impeccably built and maintained cabin added to the overall experience. Our days were spent canoeing on both lakes accessible from the dock, we wish we had more time to explore further down the Salmon River. We watched Osprey from the deck by the lake, saw Bald Eagles from the canoe, listened to the chatter of the ducks and King Fishers, and had a beaver swim right up to the dock at sunset one night. Three Loons fished near the property and their calls filled the quiet most evenings. We can’t thank Doug enough for his hospitality and for preserving this special cabin. His suggestions for local activities and his overview of the property were an added bonus. "
"Once again, this little hidden gem did not disappoint! We caught fish right off the dock within an hour of arriving. We even saw a rainbow! It’s such a peaceful place to rest and recharge. Everything you need is there, and things you didn’t know you needed (or you forgot) :) I will miss my sunrise coffee and yoga on the dock. "
The perfect family getaway on Mt. View Lake. Pet friendly!
10/10 Excellent
"The perfect word for this cabin is relaxing. If you’re looking for a spot to get away, but just close enough to access the real world if you want to, then this is it. Everything was comfortable and cleverly designed. We spent as much time outside as we could, especially once we realized that Loon Song wasn’t in name only - there really are loons nearby!Communication with our hosts was easy and friendly. They were excellent at both giving us our space and being there when we needed. I would recommend this spot to anyone looking to relax. Thank you!"
"We had a fantastic week at the lake house. We love visiting the area and this home is the perfect location. We always enjoy fishing, kayaking, and paddle boarding on the lake. Can’t wait to return. "
"The house is very nice. Everything needed for meal prep. Two comfy adult (adjustable memory foam) beds and a room more suited to the kids. It's out a bit from town. Very quiet. The backyard is a firefly show just after dark. I would stay here again. "
Charming 2-bedroom cabin with WiFi in North Bangor, NY.
10/10 Excellent
"The setting is very nice and quiet. The cabin was really new, clean and well furnished, exactly as the picture represents it. We had everything we need. I would say more then usual vacations renting. The cabin is located nearby Malone were you can find many services you might need (10-15 minutes drive). The communications were easy with the owner. I would highly recommend this place without hesitation."
"We stayed for the Malone hockey showcase. House was fantastic and close to many activities. It was about a ten minute commute to the Malone Civic Center. Hosts are knowledgeable about the area and offeres assistance if we needed it. It is a centralized location for those interested in visiting colleges in the area as well."
"This historical home is just so cool. My kids kept finding new treasures throughout the home. We used it as homebase for my son's wedding and extended family and friends were very comfortable. Enough spaces, rooms and bathrooms for everyone to enjoy time together and apart. My kids LOVED the pool which was very comfortable temperature for September.
Hard to believe that this is downtown Malone since it feels so secluded.
Since it was wedding weekend, my kids didn't feel that that got to enjoy the house to the fullest, so are wanting to return again to just recreate.
Clean, well stocked with linens, supplies etc.. Plenty of parking for multiple vehicles. "
