“Booked here as a stopover on the way to Thoresby hall from Scotland as it was only a short drive off the motorway. We booked bed and breakfast at a very good price and we also had an evening meal. Both meals were great and the room even had an air con unit which was fantastic in the hot weather. The place was great value for money and we will certainly be back, can't thank the staff enough who were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Well done and we hope to be back soon.”

“The hotel is easy to find and close to York famous city walls. The room is not too big but enough for single traveller. Reception lady is kind and offering help with my big luggage upstair. ”

“I booked a ticket to watch a live play in Stratford upon Avon on my further trip and I needed to print this ticket. The hotel staff was able to help me out with their printer. This was great. ”

“This hotel was vey horrible. The bed and quilt and bed are full of stain. The room, corridor and carpet are very dirty, they are full of sour smell (like vomit after drunk), the heater and exhaust fan are dusty, and a lot of louse and ants. 100% not recommend!!!!”

“A lovely inn situated in a peaceful village but very handy for visiting the attractions within York and the North Yorkshire National park. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and our room was very clean and comfortable. We can recommend the food and drinks on offer in the air conditioned restaurant, both on the evening we stayed and for breakfast the following day. Top marks.”
