“What a find in a beautiful area. Short trip off the A1 and absolutely stunning pub with rooms. Rooms were great, comfortable clean and has everything you will need for a good stay. Dinner was really tasty. Didn’t stop for breakfast but can only imagine how nice it would be. Would definitely recommend and would stay next time I am in the area ”

“是一間古老的旅館，感覺會充滿著故事，一樓的酒吧也是櫃檯，早餐、晚餐、啤酒都很棒！但也由於是古老的旅館，所以隔音效果會差一點，但是整體來說並不會造成太大的影響，畢竟無法知道何時外頭會有喝太多酒的人在街上大喊大叫。而且我們很喜歡它的位置，就在城圍邊，好有味道！並且走路到約克大教堂不到三分鐘的距離，走到火車站大約10-15分鐘，整體來說真的很方便！”

“Nice friendly welcome from the gentleman working the bar on arrival Thursday 23rd October around 2pm, booked in and explained about breakfast, evening meals, on-site parking and what was happening at the pub over coming days. Shown to our room which was nice and bright, very clean and comfortable. The building dates from the 1700s so expect uneven floors and squeaky floor boards and lots of character in a nice way and things that catch your eye. Beautifully dressed for Halloween. The breakfast……

“The hotel is easy to find and close to York famous city walls. The room is not too big but enough for single traveller. Reception lady is kind and offering help with my big luggage upstair. ”

“We had a very friendly welcome and a lovely clean room. The steak and ale pie for dinner, in the restaurant, was excellent.”

“This hotel was vey horrible. The bed and quilt and bed are full of stain. The room, corridor and carpet are very dirty, they are full of sour smell (like vomit after drunk), the heater and exhaust fan are dusty, and a lot of louse and ants. 100% not recommend!!!!”
