"They gave me a late checkout (2 hours extension) for no additional charge. Staff tried to talk in English with me, and was very helpful. Breakfast was amazing also, and very cheap! The room is very spacious. Some things seem a bit old, and the red light in the bathroom did not work. But it was a nice stay, would probably do it again in the future!"

We noticed lot of school kids stayed in the hotel, probably for the American historical context, or that it was just right by one of the main train stops. "This is a gem of a hotel a short walk from so many wonderful attractions in Kyoto! The staff were top notch and helpful in every way. The view from our room was serene and the hotel decor was elegant. We did laundry while we were there and soaked in the foot bath. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a luxurious accommodation without too high of a price!"

Service was equivalent to a 5 star hotel. From check in, to managing luggage and taxis, to restaurant reservations. All perfect.

Rooftop bar was nice. Our room was great with plenty of room. The sink & vanity was out in the room which was nice because there was plenty of room to get ready and someone else could use the bathroom/shower area. We were in a superior King room and the bed was comfortable with a small couch area. While the hotel isn't right in the middle of things it is very central with easy access to all the right areas. Short 6 minute walk to subway/train. 12 minute taxi to Kyoto main station. Would definitely stay here again. Staff was great."
"My stay at the Good Mature hotel was great and I recommend it. The room was clean and comfortable. The best part of staying here is the restaurant choice on site and the market. Two things that could use improvement however- the shower needs to be vented/aired out and the amount of EMF and light pollution could be reduced (not really any worse than most hotels).
