I really loved this bed and breakfast in the middle of the Zuni Reservation. It was a very unique experience. I loved the way the house was decorated. The blue corn pancakes for breakfast were delicious! Everyone was kind and helpful. There was a lot of indoor and outdoor lounging space, which was nice.

Staff was very helpful, checkin was easy. Our room was very nice and quiet. Breakfast, which we ordered when we checked in, was very good. It was served at a long table with other guests, fun to talk to others and discover why they came to Zuni and where they were from.

The room was orderly but there were horrible odors like old mop water mixed with low grade cleaner plus smell of a used baby's diaper. The bed was made but did not appear to be clean so had to sleep in clothes on top of bedding. Rugs were questionable. Bathroom is right at the foot of the bed. The bath matts looked tired, the fibers were squashed flat, not freshly washed with fibers standing up. Believe it was a mouse dropping at the sink behind the faucet. I took a picture. Refused breakfast because of all of this. Had planned a three day stay but checked out in the morning. Stayed over night only because too tired to drive any more because of driving over 10 hours and nowhere else to go locally. They should have paid me for being there. I understand that they are trying to run a business but it was too far away from what I could tolerate. I do wish them well.

While traveling this area it is important to note the wind and dust. The Inn is family owned and present, so the accommodations are uniquely furnished. They are old old rooms but cute and cozy. This isn’t a corporation, it’s a bed and breakfast! I like the home feeling. In 5 days 3 different beds theirs was most comfortable!

The room was warm and welcoming. Very busy expressive of the pueblo culture and design. The staff were anxious to make sure their clientele were comfortable and made to feel at home. Even the courtyard cats tried to make me feel right at home--and like I owed them some treats. The manager went out of his way to listen for input, especially in regard to improving the accessibility of the property, which was already head and shoulders better than many larger, corporate hotel accommodations. He was a curious and attentive listener. My only complaint is that the mattresses could be firmer. The current ones are okay--neither soft nor lumpy--but not top of the line, either. My back was hurting upon arrival, but it was neither better nor worse (unchanged) upon my departure.

I ended up having a great breakfast with a few of the other guests that just put a smile on my face. I found this very refreshing and will stay here again in future travels. I hope to meet the owners the next time I stay here.
