We stay 2 nights at Aurora Cabin. It is located on Highway 1 and it is easy to find. The Cabin is Cosy and have a nice Kitchen with everything we need to cook for a good meal. We met the Property Owner Ivac on 2nd day. He is nice and helpful. He told us where and when to look for Northern Light. We saw Northern Light that night just outside the Cabin. The Cabin is just a few miles from Hofn where we can buy Grocery We will definitely stay at Aurora Cabin again if we come back to Iceland

Great place to stay! We booked this for one night during our anniversary trip. We ended up getting engaged the day we were heading here and the “congratulations” banner they put up in our room for what they thought was just our anniversary made our day even more special. Such a kind gesture!! Great views from our window (unit 1), comfortable beds, an oscillating standing fan in the room, and great water pressure in the shower. We would recommend this place to anyone! This place is great and the owner is so nice. We stayed two nights and the morning we were scheduled to leave a storm came through that knocked out the power and closed all the roads around us. They allowed us to hang out until the roads opened and even found ways to feed us both breakfast and lunch. The hotel itself is in a great location right off the main road and close to the small fishing village of Hofn. Part of the glacier is visable from our room and the food is delicious.
