Even thought the flight was fine the service and organization as I was trying to make my connecting flight is as bad as I have ever seen. I had 2 hours once we landed to make my connection. So, we do not get a gate we have to park the plane about a 20 minute bus ride to the terminal. Then really long line at immigration and customs. Since I was coming from Taiwan I had to go through security and immigration again. By the time I got to the security line my flight was scheduled to board. I told multiple workers and they pretty much ignored except for the lady in security. She let me go through quickly but I had to wait for 25 minutes to get to that point. My flight was scheduled to leave at 6:20. I am through security at 6:05. As I step out of the security area I see a huge line of China Eastern customers waiting for a shuttle to the terminal. I again explained my situation to the China Eastern representative and he totally dismissed it. At 6:15 a shuttle finally comes and we are taken to another terminal. I was going to gate b3. I see a sign that points up the stairs to b1-4. When I get to the top I only see b4. I asked the China Eastern representative if he could tell me where b3 was and he said no you will have to go to the counter. It is now 6:20. I tried to explain to him I just need to know the direction of b3 and I could not wait in the long line at the counter for something as simple as directions. I then told him I knew the gate I was going to I just didn't see it. He said again you will have to go to the counter. I said why will you not tell me where the gate is. He then says "I am not a computer." I have no idea what that means but this was the worst customer service interaction I have ever had. He simply refused to point me in the direction of the gate. So I finally see a sign for b3 and I start running. It is now 6:25 and I am just hoping there is a little delay. I finally get to b3 as they are calling last call to board. During this process I did not waste any time. I did not even go to the bathroom. This was the fault of China Eastern and their transfer procedures. If I can help it I will never fly China Eastern again.
