We also had a screaming baby next door, which made us realise the walls are quite thin and sound insulation is limited. The rooms are functional but basic for the price, and the games room is very run down, with broken table-tennis balls and pool cues missing their tips. Parking can also be difficult when the hotel is busy. The buffet meals were a positive — good food and plenty of vegetarian options. However, the stained tables and chairs again highlight the general age and wear of the property. On a positive note, the bar staff kindly gave us ice for a day trip, which was a thoughtful gesture and much appreciated. Overall, it’s not a terrible hotel and we did enjoy parts of our stay, but the hotel needs significant investment and updating to justify the rates being charged. Loved the balcony overlooking the beach! Would have loved a kettle in my room as I brought Irish tea and mug with me.
