Whales Bay Hotel was an amazing hotel. The grounds are beautiful. The amenities were great as well. The Pool was heated and a great spot to relax with lush greens and palm trees everywhere. The rooms were super clean, modern, and very comfortable. Also, the A/C worked perfectly with multiple zones in the room! The area is also beautiful! It is right by the water with hiking trails within walking distance.

The location was perfect! The accommodations were very nice; it was perfect for four adults. The communication was consistent and clear on how to check in / check out. It included a full mini kitchen so you have the luxury of bringing in your own snacks, but if you don´t, they have snacks and a refrigerated minibar available. Breakfast was included and delivered at a time

Very disappointing stay. I expected much more from Octant, especially for a hotel in this price range. The outdoor pool was essentially unusable because it was not heated. The indoor pool was a joke—it was tiny and not really large enough to swim in. On top of that, you need to make a reservation to use the indoor pool and spa. There is no way to make a reservation online or from the room; you have to call or physically go to the front desk. This made using the facilities unnecessarily inconvenient. The room also had several issues that seriously affected our sleep. The phone had a blinking light that was bright enough to be disturbing throughout the night. The balcony light was also extremely bright, and there was no way to turn it off. It was impossible to make the room properly dark. The shower was another problem. The shower pan leaked badly, with water spreading all over the bathroom floor. These aren't minor inconveniences—they affected basic things like sleeping, showering, and using the hotel's amenities. Overall, the hotel did not live up to the experience I expected from Octant, and I would not stay here again.

Location close to the city with great views of the ocean. Good bedding. Fruits, water, milk and crackers were appreciated. The property is in need of better maintenance though - there is mold in the bathrooms, poorly cleaned windows which ruin the view, linens and towers had sports on them, the whole apartment has a damp smell to it. With all of that, not worth the price we paid.

The Angra Marina Hotel has an amazing view of the harbour, and easy access off of one of the main roads and is a short walk down to the harbour and nearby shops and restaurants. Although be aware that the only entrance to the hotel is at the top of a steep hill and there is no access to/from town from the lower levels. However, the hotel itself is dated and poorly maintained - the elevators say they're going down but go up, the roof paint was peeling in the pool area, the bathrooms in the room smelled and the beds are past needing to be replaced. Additionally, several of the lights in our room (the junior suite) were controlled by a remote control, and there were no switches - so if you needed to use the bathroom in the night you needed to find the remote and remember which buttons did which lights. Lastly, we were expecting parking to be available at the hotel, however the hotel parkade looked abandoned and the exit was blocked off and chained close. When we asked about the parking, the staff told us the parkade was terrible, and it would be much better to use the street parking - which is primarily on the steep hill, or at the bottom of the hill.

It was a nice hotel but really overpriced.
