Staff were lovely, very welcoming. Apartment was clean, well maintained and as advertised. Breakfast was lovely. Only issue for us was the need to taxis due to a lack of public transport and the walk into town wasn’t very easy. That being said we travelled with 2 children, 8 and 10

Room was as expected, bed was comfortable as you would expect from a 5-star hotel. Bathroom was large as well and had the hotel branded goods. For the breakfast area, there was an option to sit outside, which was pleasant. Plenty of options as well and the staff where ready at hand to address any requests. We used Catania as base to explore the surrounding sites, but the city itself was larger than I thought and had some interesting things to see. The cathedral and main shopping street are within walking distance of the hotel and was fairly busy throughout our time.

Location is literally next door to the fish market (no it doesn’t smell like fish at all) and walking distance to all the sites but it was noisy until the wee hours and windows aren’t soundproof. Overall, hotel room was spacious but was a little tired. Water stains on ceiling, paint needs touching up in a few places. Breakfast was OK - not a lot of options but pastries were good. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
