I could not praise the staff enough at this hotel - they are all so friendly, helpful and super attentive. The food options were excellent and the buffet meals changed daily (with a few consistent staples. Whilst I agree with some reviews that the rooms are a bit outdated - they were always cleaned properly. The rest of the hotel was not outdated (and who spends enough time in the hotel room to care about it being outdated) and had a good blend of natural elements to make every part of the hotel enjoyable. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Accommodation is very dated. Website photos do not reflect the hotel. Many of the properties on the resort are old and dilapidated. Wifi in room was the worst I have experienced in the last 10 years and we was lied to about this. For example you will have Wi-Fi on the sofa but less than three metres away you can’t use Wi-Fi in the bed to make a phone call. It was that bad. It was explained as a blackout across Cape Verde however good internet in bar area and other parts of Sal. Friendly and helpful staff especially Duke and the restaurant and bar staff. Free shuttle to Santa Maria twice a day was useful.

Hello,
I recently stayed at Hotel Tourreg and overall I truly enjoyed my time there. However, I do need to share a concern regarding the dining room.
During my meals, I noticed a large number of flies on the tables and even on the food itself. I personally had to remove many flies from my meals, which was very unpleasant. I also spoke with a few employees about this issue, but the response I received was that it is “normal” to have flies around the food.
I understand that insects can sometimes be difficult to control, but I believe more effort could be made to maintain hygiene in the dining area. This would greatly improve the guest experience and ensure a higher standard of cleanliness.
