Booked a valley castle room w king bed for one night in late Sep. Room was very clean with comfy n up to date decor. Room was big enough and soundproof quality was good. Big garden surrounded hotel n we took a pleasant walk the next day. Should have stayed for one or two nights so as to enjoy swimming pool and other facilities. The historical building was well maintained. Very pleasant stay

first time to Exeter. My wife and I stayed for a week at the hotel Du Vin . Stunningly, beautiful hotel,. Fantastic location near the Cathedral. Unfortunately we were so busy, we did not have a chance to fully enjoy the pool and the spa. I would highly recommend the hotel.Particularly for those who are looking for a hotel that’s quiet at night. A special thank you to Will at the front desk. One of the best meals I’ve had in my life, well above one-star quality. Gidleigh is a beautiful setting, a stay there is always restorative.
