As instalações externas do hotel são excelentes, o café da manhã é muito variado e toda a equipe de funcionários é extremamente prestativa e educada. O quarto em que ficamos era amplo, embora o banheiro fosse pequeno. Na chegada, notamos um forte cheiro de esgoto no banheiro, mas ao relatarmos o problema à recepção, ele foi prontamente resolvido. O ponto negativo da estadia foi a abordagem insistente dos promotores para a venda do Exclusive Guest (clube de férias do Grupo Wish). Fomos abordados no check-in, por WhatsApp e novamente na saída do café da manhã. Essa cobrança excessiva acabou tornando a experiência bastante incômoda.

This is a very classy and spectacular hotel. The view of the falls is amazing. It was so fun to have the champaign and watch the falls. There is a nice hike/walk along the bluff. The rooms are exquisite. Best breakfast ever. It was wonderful to see all the tropical birds and the coaties running around. The breakfast and pool areas were amazing. The staff helped us arrange transport to go to the Argentina side and that was really helpful. The only issue is the rooms did not have heat. At least the two rooms that we had. The thermostat only went up to 21. I asked for it to be adjusted. They did so but it did not get warmer. I was cold the first night so I got a heater for the second night, but then it got really hot. I was surprised about this. The young lady who checked us in and helped us was first class. Highly recommend the Belmond.

Exceptional stay from start to finish, starting with the doorman who met me at my Uber and accompanied me all the way to my room carrying my bags for me, which was unnecessary but very much appreciated after a delayed flight. My room was incredible, large, on the 17th floor with a beautiful view of the city. Access to the largest gym in Latin America was a real treat. Breakfast was very fresh with lots of variety. When I checked out, Nascimento at the front desk offered kind, pleasant, helpful conversation, and Roger took care of my bags for me until I needed to leave. My only regret is that I can’t stay longer. I can’t recommend this hotel enough, and will definitely stay here again if I return to Brasília.

I booked Hotel Villa Rica because the rate was reasonable for my stay in Rio. Based on the listing, I wasn’t expecting a luxury hotel, but I was disappointed by the overall condition of the property. The first room I was assigned was spacious, but the bathroom—particularly the shower—did not appear to be thoroughly cleaned, and the furniture was extremely dated and heavily worn. The bed consisted of what felt like a thin mattress topper on a platform and was very uncomfortable. After speaking with the front desk, the staff kindly allowed me to inspect and choose another available room, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the second room had many of the same issues. Although the bed was an actual mattress, it was exceptionally firm and uncomfortable. The furnishings were again heavily worn, the window would not remain closed, and there was visible mold in the shower. After four nights, I decided to check out early because I simply wasn’t able to get adequate rest due to the bed. The breakfast was very good, and the front desk staff were friendly and accommodating throughout my stay. I also requested a prorated refund for the unused nights. The hotel initially responded promptly through WhatsApp and indicated a refund might be possible, but after Expedia submitted the formal request, communication stopped and the issue remains unresolved. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this property and would choose to stay elsewhere on a future visit to Rio.

Right across from the beach where all the fun happens. Plenty of outdoor restaurants/bars to choose from. The hotel has a great breakfast to start the day and a great room service menu. Try the filet mignon. Front desk personnel is very attentive and resolves any issues immediately. Really enjoyed my stay there. Thank you.
