Panhandle Plains Cheap Vacations

Book the room on Hotels.com because it said they had three rooms available 2 1/2 hours away. We get there with a confirmation from Hotels.com and was told oh we’re sorry we don’t have no rooms and by the way they’re building a new data center around here. Bottom line is don’t blame Hotels.com if your hotel is booked why not go out there and say it’s booked so it cost an extra $90 out-of-pocket to go get another room for the night

The breakfast provided made us change plans on the trip. Loved everything about the hotel but the breakfast was inedible if you wanted something hot that wasn’t a waffle

⭐ 1/5 Stars – Disappointing and Unsanitary Our stay at Travelodge by Wyndham in Amarillo, Texas, was extremely disappointing. The towels were visibly stained, the bathroom smelled strongly of cat urine, and the entire room felt dirty and poorly maintained. There is a difference between an outdated hotel and one that feels unsanitary, and this property was the latter. The front desk staff were as helpful and accommodating as possible, but their options to resolve the issues were clearly limited. This appears to be a management and property upkeep issue, not a reflection of the staff. Cleanliness should be a basic expectation, not a luxury. Wyndham needs to take a serious look at this property. I would not recommend staying here.
