The resort was very clean Friendly staff We loved the water park

We stayed at the hotel for one night, and overall, it was an okay experience. The property is very new, especially The Cove, where we stayed. Our room was clean, modern, and well maintained. There were, however, a few disappointments. The air conditioning kept malfunctioning throughout our stay, and the room never reached the temperature we wanted. We repeatedly had to turn it off and back on to get it working properly. We were also told that complimentary bottled water would be available in the room, but none was provided. Another disappointment was related to my boyfriend's birthday. I contacted the hotel in advance by phone, email, and message and was told a birthday card and a voucher would be waiting for us. Unfortunately, neither was there upon arrival. I had to follow up at the front desk, and the voucher ended up being only for a dessert, which felt underwhelming. We also paid extra for an ocean-view room, but it did not feel worth the additional cost. The view was largely obstructed by palm trees and overlooked the pool more than the ocean. Overall, the hotel is nice, new, and has a lot of potential. Having three beaches is a great feature and not something commonly found in the Keys. While we enjoyed our stay, I felt the experience lacked attention to detail and follow-through on guest requests. I really value the small touches that make a stay feel special, and that is where the hotel fell short for me.

Great resort. Staff were helpful and the location is amazing

My husband and I were able to check in right on time. We were given a helpful overview of the property, a map, and list of the numerous amenities (complimentary kayaks, bikes, beach towels, pools and hot tubs, as well as the many restaurants, shops, rentals, and beach services) and opening and closing times said amenities. Prices for amenities and rentals were reasonable in my opinion. The restaurants range in price from reasonable to upscale dining. Our room was exactly as pictured. The entire property including the private beach - which was just across the road - were exceptionally clean. My only complaint was our bed was very firm for our tastes. The Gulf side beach was gorgeous. We saw many shore birds and dolphins. The bay side features a large marina and manatees in the cove. All staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in mid September and it appeared that most of the rooms were filled, but it was still very relaxing, quiet, and uncrowded. The location is excellent. It's easy to find off the main road through the islands and it's only a short drive to the attractions and beaches in both Sanibel and Captiva. Overall I would recommend and would stay here again.
