We loved this hotel. The grounds, lobby, and rooms were all immaculate. Having the ruins right out back to explore was awesome. We were in close proximity to everything in town. The bathtub was lovely for a bubble bath; the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The staff were friendly and welcoming at all times. I only had two small issues, neither are large enough to remove a star but I want to mention them anyway. I think either explaining at check-in or having a little sign in the room to explain that you have to insert your room key into a device on the wall to make the lights work would be helpful. maybe this is just ignorance on my part, but I had never seen that before, so I was completely lost and had to go back to the front desk to ask what to do. The second is the TV. I think all hotels at this point should have smart TVs. There is nothing on basic cable. We got to the hotel early in the day for the purpose of relaxing indoors all day after a busy few days of travel and it would have been nice to have more options for TV. Even with those issues I really can't complain as this is clearly a well-run and well-kept property, and we would be pleased to return.
