Allegheny Plateau Kid friendly Vacations

I don’t have the highest standards but this was the most disgusting and appalling hotel I have ever stayed at. If it feels like you are staying in a homeless shelter, it’s because you are. It’s used by social services and seemingly recently released inmates as transition housing from the prison in town. Unfortunately, I booked it for the wineglass marathon and paid a ridiculously overpriced rate to stay in a hotel where the wall paper was peeling in the room, the shower was rusted and falling apart, nothing had been cleaned properly and the mini fridge did not work - only found out after my leftovers spoiled. The security lock didn’t work either and absolutely was concerned for my family’s safety as we were traveling with small children. I would have left but everything in the area was booked. This is not a hotel but an absolute disgrace. And , oh yeah, there’s literally nobody working there, maid or otherwise. It took 15 minutes wait to check in before someone at the front desk appeared and we never saw anyone else again. Apparently it was once a quality inn but now it’s a run down slum charging ridiculous prices when they can get away with it.

Broken elevator the entire stay, buckled carpet in hallways, tripped a few times, TV did not work in room, not a great breakfast, inedible hard-boiled eggs. So not worth the very pricey nightly rate.

Advertised free breakfast but none available not even coffee!! Was told I could go to gas station down the road for coffee. Stated breakfast room was being remodeled but looks like absolutely nothing was being remodeled. Rooms themselves were decent and clean, local people seemed to hang out near front doors a lot to visit with staff
