In a country like Belgium, where halal options are widely available, I expected better attention to avoiding cross-contamination. The amenities were poor. There was no YouTube or Netflix on the TV, and when I mentioned it at reception, the staff member simply shrugged and said he couldn’t leave the desk to help. The air conditioning only worked at certain times, which was very odd. We stayed as a family of three with a toddler. Despite requesting extra towels on the first day, we kept having to ask. We had also booked a twin room with a sofa bed, but were moved at the last minute to a room with only one double bed, so all three of us had to share. The balcony was filthy and had loose, dangling cables, making it unsafe to use. Overall, the hotel was overpriced and poor value for money. I wouldn’t recommend it, especially for families with young children.

The room was wonderful for our family and walkable to Grand Place, many good restaurants and museums and experiences. If you want to see Art Nouveau buildings, this is the wrong side of the city. Otherwise, we really liked it. The pool is small.
