Lopud Island Ski Vacations

Quaint hotel inside the old city of Kotor. We stayed recently for 2 nights as a part of a tour of Croatia and Montenegro. If you are driving like we were, know that you have to drive to their partner public lot and if busy wait in a line of cars until a spot opens and then enter the lot. You then bring your parking lot ticket along with what luggage you need for the stay about 300 meters to the hotel from the lot. They stamp your ticket at the hotel and you pay per day at check-out instead of per hour in cash when you leave the lot. Parking is not reserved. You wait for a spot to open. The hotels instructions did not include bringing the parking ticket with you to the hotel but if you forget you will have to go back and get it. You carry your bags throughthe main gate then left and the hotel is at the corner of the first square. The room was clean and comfortable and the hotel ideal for exploring the old city. No elevators and moderate stairs in the hotel. If you climb the fortress bring water and do it early before there is direct sun on that side of the mountain. Breakfast was quite good and the young woman running it made an excellent cappuccino. I can strongly recommend this hotel if you want to stay in the old city of Kotor.

Great hotel with amazing balcony views. The mattress is super comfy to sleep on, the breakfast is brought to your room, insanely customizable, and delicious! Bathrooms are a bit small, but the amazing views compensate for it!

EVERYTHING WAS EXCELLENT

This is not a 5 star hotel! Note by the bed to say this gift is especially for you - there was no gift so we had to ask at reception what was meant to be there, should have been given a lavender bag Had to ask for the bottle of wine which was part of booking through Expedia Magnifying mirror in bathroom useless - it's stuck on the wall so you have to lean across the sink to actually see in it Stationery folder in room had one moth-eaten postcard and pen marks all over it. Four complimentary coffee capsules allowed for the entire stay, whether that's 1 night or 1 month Room never hoovered Turn down service happened sometimes, and wasn't consistent when it did happen Cleaning service at a time to suit the staff - sometimes there'd be a note on the door that they tried to clean before 9am, other times they still hadn't cleaned by 2pm, or even 4pm on occasion Replacement of bottle of water in the room sporadic Water only available in reception area for very limited time each day Light curtain covering window between bedroom and bathroom so you couldn't have the light on in the bathroom at night or you'd disturb other people in the bedroom Smoking allowed everywhere outside, not even one non-smoking outdoor area by pool Pool towels only available at the beach so you have to walk past the pools, cross the promenade to go and collect them, to then turn round and take them back to the pool No eggs to order at breakfast Minimal fresh fruit, eg no melon

We loved this villa. It had everything you could need and is located in quiet location but close to a nice village and several excellent restaurants.
