Isla de Lobos Ski Vacations

Excellent apartment and lovely pool. Only complaint it was a very hilly walk to the beach whereas the photos suggest the beach is metres away. Thankfully we had a car so drove to different beaches which were all amazing.

Overall a great hotel. Strong points are as follows; quite tidy and neat in the communal areas, good food at the breakfast and dinner buffets, polite staff, brilliantly easy access to the pool, complimentary cava in the afternoons, breathtaking views from the sea facing room! So pretty strong on most fronts. Negatives are as follows; caters mostly to German travellers but would certainly help if English proficiency was stronger amongst reception. Needless to say they were extremely helpful and did their best to understand me and my requests, so this is a minor (more of an experience thing than a functional thing). The next negative was with room cleanliness- now dont get me wrong they are spotless to the naked eye! But I did find a couple of light-ish wood louse looking creatures, once crawling up the bed and another time on arrival inside the cupboard. The housekeeping staff were awesome though, and did a fantastic job at cleaning the room each time they attended. So for this reason I only deducted one star for cleanliness. At least there weren’t any bed bugs. Facilities I gave a three because for starters, the gym is tiny- very difficult to get a workout in there when it was busy. I was expecting it to be small but some minor tweaks could certainly helped, e.g. making the mirror above the dumbells stretch the width of the wall so both benches can see their reflection. Secondly, some form of paid room service would’ve been nice for lunch.

Only improvement could be a slightly softer bed (it is 2m wide) Sea view if a must have if you start here

Check in available 24 hours, as a code for access to complex and room. Breakfast has the same selection every day but was plenty of things to choose. Room was ok. If 30c plus day room gets hot. 25c nights are cool. Had ground floor room so was not bad. Expect 1st and 2nd floor rooms to be warmer. Pool good. Was some construction noise as 3 rooms being refreshed.

Fabulous Staff. Entertainment was excellent. Luca I think the guys name was, he really got the crowd going. Excellent location. Right next to the beach. Food was good.

The most unique thing about this hotel is the complete lack of decent a/c throughout the whole hotel! No a/c in any of the communal areas and barely adequate in the rooms…and we know as our party of 3 sisters changed 3 rooms, had to ask to change from our allotted suite to temporary rooms on the first night and were hot all night despite the ac being ‘on’ and the next morning we accepted it was the case in all the rooms and just wanted to start our 4 night holiday of which the first night had already been ruined! We were not told that water would not be replenished and we would have to refill at the provided water stations, which is not a problem had we been told at check in!
