Weekend getaways in Hopkins

My husband and I loved staying at Seiri Del Mar! The grounds are stunning and the condo provided everything we needed. The on-site washer and dryer was a plus! Ratka, her husband, and entire staff were so kind. Whenever I had a question I would just ask anyone and they would help us. We will definitely be back. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway with beautiful local people Hopkins is the place to visit!

For starters, if your idea of a great beach hotel looks something like a big city Marriot plunked down into a locale with sand and water, manned by local folks sanitized with white uniforms, then Parrot Cove Lodge, and for that matter Hopkins Beach in general, is probably not what you are looking for, and I'm guessing they are not all that interested in you either. If you are looking for a Boutique style hotel with immaculate grounds and amazing staff Jaguar Reef is for you. None of the crowds and insanity you find at the larger resorts. Five stars! Incredibly welcoming owners/staff, deluxe room - included microwave, toaster, refrigerator, TV (with channel guide)- and also provides bikes to tour the town! The owners walked us to our room and made sure everything was working. They also gave great activity ideas and restaurant recommendations. Plenty of parking just out front! And huge outdoor area with hammocks to relax! Loved this place!

We had a great experience at Bocawina. The owners and staff were very personable, helpful, and friendly. The accommodations were very nice and clean. The food was excellent. There were so many things we would have liked to do had we stayed longer. We will definitely stay there again the next time we are in Belize!

Breakfast was very healthy, and it was on time. The room was clean and having access to the beach was refreshing.

Absolutely the most stunning hotel and location. Our king room overlooked a pristine sandy beach. Everything was just perfect, the staff, the decor, the comfort and the food. The breakfast included a Belizean specialty the fry Jack. A delicious puff of doughnut like bread served with or without sugar and cinnamon. We have been coming to the Maya Hotel and Bistro for several years. It gets even better with time. The Lees are excellent in maintaining their standards of service and training staff. They improve their facilities and it is a truly welcoming place. Like a home you know you can always go to for the comfort and care. And the food....second to none! A most creative menu, infusing classic cuisines with just the perfect Caribbean/Belizean flavor. We will always return!!

This is a lovely beachfront property. My husband and I stayed in the Stingray cabana and it was perfect. Comfortable bed, large bathroom and it was nice having the option of leaving windows open so we could hear the crashing waves or turning on the AC if the humidity was high. The staff was fantastic. Thank you!

HANDS DOWN, the best resort! We stayed for 3 nights in Placencia, and when we come back we will go here without even second guessing it. We got this place at last minute, arrive late and the owner host were waiting for us. Room very naive, individual tree houses. The place is beautiful, we could not enjoy it ,much because we were in Placencia for a weeding and we were pretty busy, left early and come back late, we did have breakfast and I can say it is very good and reasonable, their restaurant have a great sea view.

The whole place was amazing! The cabins were bare bones but clean and cute. We had a porch in the back right by the rainforest, but wished there had been comfy chairs to sit on instead of a small, hard bench. The bathrooms were clean with some interesting insect life to observe while sitting there. Showers were hot and good pressure. The Toucan Cafe up front was superb - we ate every meal there. There is comfortable indoor and outdoor seating. Fridge and coffee maker are available for guests....
