Weekend getaways in St Ignace

The Inn at Stonecliffe is wonderful! All of the staff were friendly and attentive. The renovated facility is stunning, with each room’s decor unique. No detail was spared. We especially enjoyed talking with George, the manager at General Store, while getting a breakfast sandwich and coffee to go. Loved our stay here!

We had the best experience. The staff are helpful and accomodating. The amenities are great. The property is nice and clean. Would highly recommend. It’s a short drive to the boardwalk, restaurants, gas station and groceries. The boat dock going to the island is just a few minutes walk. They also offer shuttle service. This could be our go to place to stay whenever we go to Mackinac Island.

The hotel hospitality staff were exceptional. The hotel, our room and the breakfast area were spotless. Breakfast was delicious and tons of options. Our room faces the lake with gorgeous views. The front desk staff were friendly and very helpful with suggestions for us. We would definitely stay here again.

This was my second day at the lodge. The staff is really great. They have an awesome pool and I really appreciated that we got to stay in the building. That’s attached to the pool in the lobby.

The lady at the front hotel check in desk, Manda, was not helpful at all. She never asked for my drivers license. She was very, very rude. She was not willing to help with my situation at all. So, I went along with her way. The next morning I called the front desk and spoke with Pam. Within 30 minutes Pam and her manager took care of my issue and I had an email from Expedia with a confirmation of my refund from Expedia. Really good

After closing up our airbnb for the season we came up north to get away from everything. The hotel was a welcome retreat from our busy life. The hot tub was perfect after our walk around mackinac island. The ladies at the front desk were super friendly. Overall a fantastic weekend. The room was clean and comfortable. We will be back.

I’d stay here again. Staff was very friendly, rooms were clean, and they have a continental breakfast included. It has the 100+ year old Victorian look and feel, but with a few modern upgrades such as an elevator, AC, and key cards. We didn’t have time to use the outdoor heated spa pool, but it looked inviting. The room could have used more places to hang towels and clothes. Very clean hotel!! Very welcoming, helpful, amd friendly staff!! Housekeeping is TOP NOTCH!! We did not expect our room to be cleaned and new towels provided after our first night, it was such a nice surprise!! The hotel is EXTRA CLEAN!! When we travel to Mackinac Island again - this will be our choice of stay!! Locqtion is really good too, its about 2 min drive to the ferry, free shuttle provided as well.
