Weekend getaways in Mason City

We could not believe what a charming, relaxing, beautiful place this was. Dale and Judy were perfect hosts who shared their knowledge of farm life, barn collections & antiques. Incredible stay. I know it said bed and breakfast but we were blown away by the breakfast and treats that were in a jar by the entrance. Given that it is an old house I was nervous about the cold but it was cozy and warm. Not too hot at all. My only negative is regarding how quiet it is, I felt like I had to whisper in the room because I didn’t want to disturb the peacefulness. The system was down when I was checking in, but the staff handled the chaos with grace and quickly got me into my room. We were a large group and they were extremely friendly and accommodating.

Excellent hotel. Be aware that if you’re staying on a Sunday there are very limited options for restaurants/bars in downtown Mason City.

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was nice and complimentary breakfast was very yummy with lots of choices.

Stayed there for 2 nights with my dog while moving into my apartment. The staff were so nice and accommodating.

Staff was very helpful in grouping our family together. We especially enjoyed the use of the large common room by th 13 grandhildren (and some adults, and great grand children too). Only problem with the facilities was that our toilet was clogged when we first checked in. The staff unclogged it quickly but it left my germophobic wife uncomfortable with the facility for the remainder of our 3 night stay.

Staff was awesome considering it was a packed hotel and she was very overworked. Very clean and comfortable room. This place never disappoints and we will continue to stay when we come to town.
