Weekend getaways in San Marcos

This hotel has been a great place for us to stay on our trip to Legoland over the last few years.

All was superb until 10:30 pm, when the new guests on the room above us checked in/arrived. Children running stomping and yelling into the wee hours. Just to wake us up again at 7 am. They didnt seemed to be supervised, maybe lack of. Just a suggestion, please put family with children on bottom rooms.

The room was amazing. Bed was comfortable, room was very clean, friendly staff. The only thing I was not pleased with was the price. Cha Ching! Thank goodness we had a $100 off from hotels.com. Not saying the room wasn’t worth it. But it’s not something I could afford with out the coupon. Would definitely stay again. If I had coupon.

We liked that the property was clean, quiet and fairly close to Legoland!

This hotel is super clean and convenient if you need a night's stay around San Marcos or Carlsbad. The check in and customer service were great. It's a really good value if you need a place to stay for the night.

This little gem sits right on the beach and is PERFECT! I stayed with my two daughters and we plan to go back as soon as possible. The room was clean and spacious. The hotel was within walking distance of everything. Our stay included free wifi, parking, and breakfast (I think this is the norm for all stays). As for the beach, there are complimentary beach chairs, umbrellas, towels and boogie boards. So fun! You won't regret choosing this hotel!

The room was clean and even though it's by an airport it was extremely quite and the bed was comfortable so we slept good. We were provided with great customer service and delicious breakfast! I would definitely stay again if in the area again!

The absolute QUIETEST hotel we have EVER stayed in, and the place was full of kids! Same exit as LegoLand so we expected kids and it to be loud. We stayed for an entire week and never heard anything! Occasionally hear the train, but was muffled. Staff was incredibly friendly, and I mean all of them! Even just passing in the hallways or elevators, they would great you and smile. Great location with good parking. I enjoyed the walk to Beacon Park and Grandview beach access points. (Both have long steep descents; people with mobility challenges may need to drive to get to easier access.) Nice clean room with kitchenette. Friendly staff.

Beautiful updated oceanfront patio with lounges, chairs and umbrellas that overlook the beach 🏖️. Watching the waves and families enjoying the surf while sipping a cold drink ( available onsite). This hotel is literally on the sand‼️ You can’t stay closer to the beach than the Del Mar Hotel. There are 2 outstanding restaurants right next door. No need to drive anywhere, just relax and enjoy.

Perfect location for a visit to Safari Park

Wonderful location directly across from beach access and the Carlsbad village. Service was awesome! They made our experience special and stress free, especially having young children. They provided all of the beach amenities we could ask for, including towels, toys, chairs, umbrellas. The grounds of the property really made the stay extra special. It’s meticulously maintained with a Hawaiian vibe. You very much feel like you’ve been transported to the islands. Can’t wait to come back!

As every parent knows, traveling with young children isn’t easy. Finding a reliable place to stay with child-friendly amenities is among the most significant obstacles. This hotel did everything it could to provide a safe environment and keep the kids occupied. In addition, they offered excellent breakfast free of charge. We spent one day in Lego land, on a nearby beach, and at Safari Park. My 6-year-old and I had a blast for 3 days and the best Thanksgiving holiday!! Many modern healthy eating...

Great customer service. Rooms are clean. Property a lil dated

- The hot breakfast (which I didn't know it was included in mine) was awesome. They had egg-based meal, cereals, oatmeal, yogurt, fruit, bread, orange juice, and more (and yes, everything was hot and delicious) - Parking (self-covered) will be just $10, which I think is a really reasonable price. - The place is quiet and safe. Nice location. Ample parking. Big well lit lobby. Lots of seating. Pool, grills and firepit in central location. Large room with comfy beds.
