This hotel overall is pretty average in terms of appearance and amenities, but it is in a great location within easy walking distance to the beach, shopping, and many good restaurants. The pool is kind of small, there is no hot tub, couldn’t get the shower to stay at a consistent temperature (I guess too much demand for hot water?) and you have to pay $20 a day for parking. Expedia says I had “VIP Access” but I don’t really know what that is. It’s not a bad place, and the area is beautiful. I’d say it’s like staying at a basic Hampton Inn without the free breakfast but in a great location.

Perfect location while visiting La Jolla. Right in the middle of town so you can walk to everything. Hotel is nice and clean but could use a little updating. New carpeting/flooring throughout for example would give it a fresh, new look. Room is clean and beds are comfortable. Nice, friendly staff.

Relied on reviews online as we traveled from New York. This hotel is a gem and a great find. The staff was beyond courteous, kind and helpful. The hotel was clean, well located, our room was very spacious, and we look forward to returning some day. We saw many areas as we visited our daughter living in San Diego and fell in love with the whole LaJla area. Our daughters enjoyed exploring, coffee places, delicious breakfasts and shopping. Great views to walk to and so close to the cove with the seals and children’s pool which was so amazing to see. Pick this hotel, you won’t regret it!!

The shower water fluctuated in Temperature as if when someone would turn a git tap on in the sunk the water went cold. We were there for 3 days and at check that they would service the room on the 2nd day which didn't happen. Very disappointing!
