Best place to stay on the island!

Our stay at the Koa Kona Lodge was incredible. Wonderful cabins, beautiful view, and everything we could need. The owners went above and beyond to make sure we had the tours we needed and were so kind and accommodating. Highly recommend!!

This was the trip of a lifetime and we could not have picked a better place to stay, especially for the price. We were a little skeptical at first because it was a little farther from the actual downtown, but it was a pretty easy 15 minute walk to get to everything, which also made it quite peaceful and relaxing. It is the tropics, so very warm! We had a hard time sleeping because the fans were insufficient in cooling down the bungalow. It would have been nice to have a window AC unit and blackout curtains to block the afternoon sun. However, the views are amazing and the breakfast was good. This lovely B&B was the ideal accommodation on Easter Island. The friendly host will pick you up at the airport with flowers and give you a quick tour of the town. The room was large, clean and comfortable with ocean view — perfect for just relaxing and letting "island time" tick away. Perfect place to stay! Location is right in town on main street so very convenient. There's a kitchen that guests can use also. Make sure to ask for a tour with Alvaro - he's the best!!

We stayed for 6 days with Edith and Bill and Ruby too. They made us part of the family in addition to lending us their car, cooking the most amazing breakfasts, making very accurate recommendations. This place is just the best!!!

The hotel was a lovely retreat at the end of a long day touring the island, with some adorable and extremely friendly pets to welcome you back as well. Erika was incredibly welcoming and always made sure her guests were taken care of and was an excellent resource when it came to knowledge of the island and offered very good rates as a guide which was required to visit most places on the island. 2 restaurants, bar, spa, huge place, across the road from ocean with no beach plus security fenching around properly. Extremely helpful staff but tours limited to their inventory. Our Experience in Hotel Ohiro was wonderful! Mahina, the owner, who received us at the hotel, she was the Best. Her welcoming was outstanding, she is so friendly, well educated, and willing to give us the best experience in the island. She accompanied us in our second tour and it was spectacular! We loved her knowledge and attitude, great experience with her.

This was more like staying with an aunt and uncle than a hotel. They invited me to share meals and encouraged me to use the kitchen and family room. You can’t be in a USA hotel frame of mind, but if you can leave that behind, you will enjoy your stay here!
