Weekend getaways in Nungwi

Excellent 24/7 service, the villas are well maintained and private.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel with my wife and our two young children. From the moment we arrived, we felt a warm, family friendly atmosphere that truly made us feel at home. The staff were amazing, very kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. A special mention to the owner and manager (Kambei), who went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and memorable. Their level of care and personal attention was something you rarely experience. It felt less like staying...

Outstanding private place, the owners are super great people, meals were awesome and plentiful, nice pool overlooking the ocean with a swim up bar

The staff here were so kind and accommodating!! Saadia and Julia were so friendly! We had to check in really late and they helped us arrange transportation from the airport and someone was there to let us into our room. We were just steps away from the beach and could easily access multiple restaurants. I would definitely recommend staying here!!

Staff was supportive and the property was perfect.

Aluna Lodge is very clean and comfortable. It is also extremely calm and quiet. The beach access is the only downfall. It is a bit of walk to the nice bit of the beach where you can layout. They staff is great!

From check in to check out this place was wonderful ! Each staff member came up to introduce themselves to us as we roamed this beautiful property and really made sure we felt at home! We had the family style villa which was just the best and every day the cleaning staff came to not only clean everything for us but even had a turn down service at night where they sprayed for any bugs and put down our bug nets etc . We had great WiFi and saw others on property working during the day sometimes or...

Just supply the towels back after you take them out. Other than that, everything was excellent.

Nice quite hotel with a garden when you can walk and good access to the beach. It is a boutique hotel which we would definitely recommend. Restaurant is ok, but there are plenty other restaurants around which are worth to explore

Amazing staff, amazing location - we can’t wait to be back soon!

Friendly staff, clean rooms, pool with good upkeep and generally tidy grounds. Can't really complain about anything major. Even if it's not exactly 5-star accommodation they are making a good effort to cater to the needs of westerners. The restaurant has plenty of ambience and again the staff is friendly but the service is slow (this is endemic in Zanzibar though) and the breakfast selection is quite basic. The biggest knock is not their fault. The location is a good 15 minute walk from the...

It is a great place to stay

An absolute perfect stay and amazing location! Right by the beach with tons of incredible restaurants and shopping including art galleries with gorgeous local artworks for sale. The owner and the staff are among the warmest kindest humans I have ever met in a hotel setting and I truly enjoyed interacting and engaging with them. They serve the best juice here and the hotel itself is just lovely, naturesque and peaceful. I will definitely be back 💜

My only issue was that we were not told that we needed to pay for seafood despite that we had half board. I was surprised on check out that l was billed.

Unbelievable ocean views just steps down from the property! Every seat in the dining area has a spectacular ocean view. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. The pool is clean, refreshing, and offers sun or shade options in a tranquil setting.

Friendly helpful staff and location are this hotel’s biggest strengths. The fotos and descriptions are accurate. All in all a great value in Nungwi.

I’m happy to strongly recommend Terry’s Villa to anyone traveling to Nungwi. I stayed there with my family, and we had a spectacular experience from start to finish. The villa itself was clean, spacious, and very comfortable — especially appreciated after long days exploring Zanzibar’s beautiful beaches. Although the villa is located a few minutes from the beach, it’s still within easy walking distance, which made getting around very convenient. A special mention goes to the manager, Shivji, who...

Well, what can say? Despite all reviews about this facility on various sites, I can certanly say the following fact about this hotel: so they don't have a sandy beach, true, and it's pretty far away from Nungwi beach, but these facts are known, so if anybody books ahead without checking first, then please don't complain after. Otherwise, the place is simply fantastic! I guess it was recenly remodeled, thus we had a cheaper room it had AC and ceiling mounted fan, and the room was nice and large,...
