We booked a single night here at the very last minute trying to escape the heat of the west coast beach towns. We were so glad we did. This hotel is absolutely stunning. We had one of the rooms upstairs from the lobby rather than one of the bungalows but the room was amazing with a spacious first floor, kitchenette, balcony and a very cool loft bedroom/bath. The grounds, particularly the park right next to the hotel, are stunning as is the view of the ocean and Nicoya Peninsula in the...

Went here for our honeymoon after getting married on the beach. This provided the perfect intimate, secluded, and romantic setting we both have ever experienced. I can't say enough about the staff and the personal touch that awaits every part of Nayara Springs. We stayed in a Villa with the private plunge pool and outdoor showers, please, do yourself a favor and experience the villa!!! The Spa treatments were epic, the wine bar and wine pairing dinner was unforgettable and all the resturants had...

The property is beautiful, with such amazing views, so many birds to see each morning!
Special shoutout to Pablo- who was very responsive and also helped arrange wine bottle for us at a late hour. Would definitely recommend this place.

This was an amazing hotel, the property was beautiful and there are trails for you to explore through the jungle. The rooms were simple and rustic, not too fancy which is exactly what we were looking for. The staff, including Diego, is extremely friendly, kind, and helpful. Would not hesitate to go back!

100% recommend this place. We had the bottom bungalow and were perfect for two of us. The hot tub is awesome with the view. The family that owns this is very nice and accommodating. If I am ever back in the area I would stay again.

I generally do not write reviews, but our experience as Hotel Heliconias was so wonderful that I felt compelled to share.
My boyfriend and I traveled to Costa Rica for the first time at the end of May, and began our trip at the Arenal Volcano. We chose to stay at Hotel Heliconias because it was so reasonably priced and had received great reviews from other users, even though it is 20-30 minutes from La Fortuna town. We were not disappointed.

Host was a family and very friendly and helpful. Property was beautiful. We did have a leak during rain but host was quick to respond and bring towels. We also had a dog barking during the night from next door property but host offered to contact neighbors. Would stay here again. Very neat and unique property.

We had so much fun here, and it was a wonderful place to come and relax after a day of activities. Very unique cabin, with porch right on the pond. Friendly ducks, dogs, and it was great hearing all of the different bird calls. Very close to restaurants and things, but felt remite and private. Comfortable bed. Only complaint was the small bathroom without much room to put things.

Amazing location 30min from La Fortuna, beautiful quiet place in the jungle, amazing to rest in hot tub in the late afternoon with light drizzle coming down and surrounded by nature. Excellent restaurant and friendly staff.

20 minutes away from Fortuna, the Finca Luna is truly and completely surrounded by the rainforest. All of the staff were very friendly and helped us organize tours nearby (we did whitewater rafting, ziplining, and the hot springs. Would recommend all of them).
Food on the whole was incredible. The chocolate tour was great; we learned about the history of chocolate and even made our own! Would be interesting to most, I would guess.

We started our family Costa Rica trip in La Fortuna and decided to stay at Arenal Rustic Lodge. It was a perfect way to start the trip. The lodge is around 15 minutes from town. The family hosts were amazing and incredibly helpful. They offered great advice and were very accommodating. They let my daughters (age 11 and 13) feed the family's horse and they even took us on a hike of a local trail they are starting to develop.
We stayed in cabin #5. It had plenty of room for our family of 4....

We had a wonderful 3-night stay at Oro Verde!
Everything was in excellent condition and the place is very well-maintained. We loved the fact that when we arrived the property had a nice pool that we weren’t expecting, so it was a great surprise!
The property is located in a quiet and peaceful area surrounded by nature and at the same time the location is incredibly convenient, just 15-minute drive to La Fortuna.
Our experience was great from start to finish!
