Weekend getaways in Del Mar

Beautiful updated oceanfront patio with lounges, chairs and umbrellas that overlook the beach 🏖️. Watching the waves and families enjoying the surf while sipping a cold drink ( available onsite). This hotel is literally on the sand‼️ You can’t stay closer to the beach than the Del Mar Hotel. There are 2 outstanding restaurants right next door. No need to drive anywhere, just relax and enjoy.

Great location with good parking. I enjoyed the walk to Beacon Park and Grandview beach access points. (Both have long steep descents; people with mobility challenges may need to drive to get to easier access.) Nice clean room with kitchenette. Friendly staff.

My husband and I went for a little weekend getaway and the hotel was lovely. We had an ocean view room with a big balcony. It was surprisingly quiet. You can walk everywhere, we left our car parked the whole time. The hotel staff is so friendly!!

Hotel was clean and conveniently located near restaurants and such.

Hotel is great, service, facilities, room, everything. The only thing that put me off, was the "resort fee" : $25 daily. I was told this covers: coffee in the room (which any hotel of lesser quality, has), Wi-Fi, (which went on an off all the time), and pool services, such as towels!!!!! Rates are not cheap, so I didn't like that on top of the bill, I had to add $150 more, for things I take for granted.

We stayed here for 2 nights and loved the experience! The staff was really friendly and accommodated an early check-in request which was big time as we had a maintenance project going on at our apartment. We brought our cat and paid the pet fee. The staff was really nice to our cat and gave her attention at check-in and check-out :D We paid a bit more to get the bigger room option, and that was well worth it. The room was comfy with a couch, king bed, additional seating, desk, etc....

Everything was great! Clean n quiet n I really like the location/area. We would definitely stay here again!

This property is perfect if you want a hotel with a lot of soul. Having stayed at the sterile chain hotels earlier this year I was looking for a unique place to relax and enjoy my vacation with my young daughter. We loved every minute of our stay here. The Diego Rivera room was spotless. It had a comfy king bed, a gas fireplace, and numerous artistic details.
