We had a marvelous time at the Cypress Inn in Half Moon Bay. The room was modern and comfortable. We had a wonderful ocean view, just across a small road from the beach. The location was very quiet, just the sound of the ocean surf, which we love to hear. The breakfast was magnificent, plus they had wine and very tasty snack food in the afternoon. This is one of the best bed and breakfast inns we've ever had the pleasure to stay at.

Very nice room, great view, nice bike/walk path right outside, nice sunken living room and suite feeling in the standard rooms, fireplace, etc. The main thing to know before coming here is that it is set up to be lived in for a while if you like. There is a stove, refrigerator, large microwave, dishes, silverware,etc. If I'd know that in advance I might have packed differently and planned on preparing a meal or two in the room. Exceptional hotel. Primarily, the staff was professional and courteous with personality. Ricky was outstanding at check-in, Giselle was enjoyable at the wine bar, and Kevin was kind at check-out. Their guest service is a 20/10. I called earlier in the week to ask about arriving early and parking. They were gracious and accommodating, saying we could check into our room if it was ready when we arrived. My stay was fantastic. The only negative thing I experienced was that they removed the US flag from its place of honor at the peak of their hotel in order to fly a pride flag in its place. As a veteran whos friends gave their lives for the US and whos coffins were draped with that flag, this was intolerable. There were plenty other places they could and did fly the pride flag. It should never fly in lieu of the Stars and Stripes.
