Weekend getaways in Mackinac Island

The Inn at Stonecliffe is wonderful! All of the staff were friendly and attentive. The renovated facility is stunning, with each room’s decor unique. No detail was spared. We especially enjoyed talking with George, the manager at General Store, while getting a breakfast sandwich and coffee to go. Loved our stay here!

Wonderful place! Rooms are nice, beds comfortable, bonus a really nice private balcony overlooking the harbor and main street of mackinac island.

I’d stay here again. Staff was very friendly, rooms were clean, and they have a continental breakfast included. It has the 100+ year old Victorian look and feel, but with a few modern upgrades such as an elevator, AC, and key cards. We didn’t have time to use the outdoor heated spa pool, but it looked inviting. The room could have used more places to hang towels and clothes. Extremely easy location- directly across from the ferry and an easy walk to all the shops and restaurants. I was pleasantly surprised to find out they had a locked bike room for guests who bring their own bikes. Was a wonderful stay!

They were such a nice surprise on the main strip of the Island. Clean. Quiet. AND ... they TMd when the room was ready for check in ... before check in hours.

Fun that it was way out away from downtown, and that you took a 40 minute horse/buggy shuttle to get there. Nice and quiet. Bring snacks/drinks, as none available out there. No a/c, but the fan was great!

Very clean hotel!! Very welcoming, helpful, amd friendly staff!! Housekeeping is TOP NOTCH!! We did not expect our room to be cleaned and new towels provided after our first night, it was such a nice surprise!! The hotel is EXTRA CLEAN!! When we travel to Mackinac Island again - this will be our choice of stay!! Locqtion is really good too, its about 2 min drive to the ferry, free shuttle provided as well.

We had the best experience. The staff are helpful and accomodating. The amenities are great. The property is nice and clean. Would highly recommend. It’s a short drive to the boardwalk, restaurants, gas station and groceries. The boat dock going to the island is just a few minutes walk. They also offer shuttle service. This could be our go to place to stay whenever we go to Mackinac Island.

I should start by saying my boyfriend and I are VERY particular about hotels and had yet to find one we loved in Mackinaw City. Well that was until we found this!! I could not have asked for a better stay. Staff was amazing from the moment we arrived. It has the small mom and pop feel and is truly so cozy! Cleanliness was 10/10. I would recommend any and anyone to stay here.

Very nice property!! Rooms were clean, modern and well taken care of. Front desk staff at check in was wonderful and very helpful with dining suggestions etc!! Would definitely stay here again!!

Last minute trip up north, booked a few days before we wanted to stay. Only availability for Thursday night, so we had to move to another hotel for the rest of our weekend. We would have loved to stay all three nights here, instead of the comfort inn we ended up at for the rest of the weekend. Bed was comfy, room was clean. Water pressure was great. No frills mom and pop place. Will absolutely stay here again
