Probably the best hotel in Newcastle; beautiful rooms, walk in shower and a tub if you want a soak.
Quayside is a great location with entertainment options aplenty but we had a cocktail in the bar and dinner in the restaurant- very good white Russian and steak bearnaise plus arugula and parmesan salad which was perfection. Only choice for us when staying in Newcastle to visit family.

Large rooms. But I didn't use the kitchen, large refrigerator, and few of the amenities possible. The breakfasts were great. The site was close to University Building 1 where an additional breakfast, lunches and most dinners were furnished. My Building 1 business meeting was held up the small hill nearby, and less than a 10-minute walk. It was good weather, and I visited down the hill to the Staybridge and walked into town three times during the 5 days, returning after dark just for the...

Every time I travel back north I stay at this place as it's friendly, has what you need and more-aka the restaurant next door and nearby to bigger shops too

My wife and I try to travel as often as possible. We like to find unique, fancy hotels and we just found our favorite. First, the location is the best in Newcastle. Close enough to all the downtown sites and activities, but still quiet enough to have a nice romantic walk. Second, this was the cleanest room we've ever stayed in. The entire hotel was top notch. Third, the staff was the most fantastic. Friendly smiles and went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed.
