"*The hotel smells so bad of marijuana first of all. I almost felt like I was going to get a contact high. *The pool area is in serious need of a scrubbing. If they had better ventilation it wouldn’t be this bad with the mold, mildew and rust. If you are needing the handicapped lift for the pool you might want to think again. It’s rusted and I wouldn’t trust it at all. *The elevator has broken floor tile, and tape over some of the buttons like they broke. *The room itself looks to be updated but they didn’t clean up the construction dust. The air conditioner unit is so full of white construction debris. *We didn’t make it to breakfast as it was already cleaned up at 930am on a Sunday. I thought it was open till 10 on weekends. Oh well Overall I would “splurge” on a different hotel in Hays instead of this one in Ellis. For $89 a night it’s not worth it to have the awful smell of marijuana in the hotel and stuck in the bedding and towels. "
