"Comfortable bed, good breakfast, friendly staff and close to attractions. There is however, a limited dinner menu and shuttle service around town, ask ahead about those. Also, the room was relatively clean but the tub was dirty/black. I used clorox to clean it. I also had to wait a half hour for hot running water. However, we stayed 3 nights and will probably do it again. "

"This was our first time at the Ryder hotel. It was located very conveniently in downtown Charleston. The staff was very friendly however, when we were by the pool, the service there was somewhat spotty. Often times staff would just ignore anyone who was sitting at a table and not offer them a drink. The pool was nice to have on a hot day however, it was very murky and cloudy looking. Not sure how often they check for chemical balance. Both my husband and I felt very itchy after being in the pool...
