Lost potential

Posted Jan 5, 2014 on Hotels.com
This hotel operator has no idea how to run this place. The little time I was in the room, was spent thinking how they could be making good money, if they put money into it. The condition of the room was unpleasant, to see the least.

This is just a motel - we thought it was overpriced. Don't bother unless you can't get a room anywhere else.

Clean, very nice staff, fairly old facilities

Posted Nov 5, 2013
Pros: very friendly staff; very low price
Cons: upgrade/modernize facilities; but everything was clean
The facilities were fairly old. Not many upgrades here in quite some time it seems. However, overall the staff was very friendly and the hotel was clean. Each rooms had a refrigerator and microwave oven. The price was super cheap. Overall, I would return if price is a factor and you don't mind older facilities.

Price was the best thing.

All doors were locked except motel bar. Employee told me to go around back. Another locked door. Had to knock several times.

The location and the pricing were great but the hotel itself was very unsatisfactory. We stayed 2 nights and they didn't even make our bed never mind change the sheets! Nor did they wipe down the bathroom not even the sink w some toothpaste spilt in it. That is unacceptable

Bartender checked us in

Posted Oct 13, 2013
Time I pushed confirm to Expedia date was a day late. Bartender and expedia customer service found us a room. Lots of phone calls. We paid for 2 beds and pull out sofa got 2 double and roll away. Bartender was cleaning lady/ check in receptionist/bartender. She was great! No shampoo, not enough towels and wash cloths.

Irregular bar hours marred otherwise nice stay

Posted Oct 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
Le Petit Paris, the bar, was pen all night thursday. Closed Friday? Saturday? Get yourself a good bartender who will grow the business and let them build a sustainable crowd - it wouldn't take much, and having the on-site amenity would be much better than the local alternatives. Other than that disappointment, good stay. Best water pressure and volume in a shower EVER! It's not a Ritz Carlton, but it's fine.

Slum of Altoona

Posted Sep 29, 2013
I would not recommend staying here. There was no shampoo in the bathroom. Paint was peeling off the wall and ceiling. I tried to call for directions as I could not find it and no one would answer the phone only to finally find it and see a note posted on the door saying to check in at the attached bar. Bed was ok, very outdated decor and linens.
