key card had to be re-authorized several times. Fitness room emptied out and turned into a storage room - a real bummer

Average Motel

Posted Jan 26, 2015
Breakfast is good -- hot fresh waffles, juice, coffee, cereal, fruit. NO ELEVATOR, so if you can't climb stairs you either need the 1st floor or find a different motel. 400 series rooms had a strong odor in the hallway, as well as the room we stayed in. Had to buy 2 air fresheners from store to help counteract so could sleep. TV was old tube style (non-flat screen) that the color was bad on. Coffee maker, fridge, and microwave are in the rooms so that's good too. Reasonably close to various restaurants.

Nice hotel centrally located.

Posted Jan 26, 2015
Pros: Had a nice breakfast. Centrally located. Good staff.
Cons: Heated pool would be nice or spa.
Location: Good restaurants nearby. Centrally located in the area for what we wanted to do.
Nice hotel, centrally located, good restaurants close by. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Pool was not heated to cool to swim, a heated spa or heated pool would be nice. Would stay again.

Great Value and Location

Posted Jan 25, 2015
We were surprised to find such a gem along the busy strip of businesses in Ft. Myers. We look for clean, quiet, comfortable, and inexpensive. That's a tall order, but we found this motor inn to be all that. Plan to stay there on future visits.

Pros: location
Cons: The building is old and smells old.
I was quite comfortable at the Travelodge but my wife would not be comfortable.

experience

Posted Jan 23, 2015
Pros: location to where I needed to be
Cons: room quality
Location: good location
I realize I asked for a smoking room ---separate building. But the room was dated and not very appealing. Old everything in the room. broken down furniture, rusted fridge, nasty curtains, NASTY bedding and gross matresses. overall gross. Old tv with minimal channels. I was put in room 514 next door to a very loud family with a PITBULL DOG that woke me up several times barking and the loud talking.

We were very comfortable.

Posted Jan 12, 2015
Pros: Room was very clean. Staff was very friendly. Bed was very comfortable.
Cons: Having a listing of all available "good" restaurants - nearby - for am & pm dining, such as Perkins & Sweet Tomato, or maps or staff more aware.
Location: We spent most of our time on Sanibel Island at the "Ding" Darling Wildlife Sanctuary.
We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It seemed to be close to all amenities. I didn't get a chance to ask, Does your hotel have a washer and dryer that guest could have access to? This would have helped, as my shorts got wet at the beach and I couldn't clean them or other pieces of clothing. Also, for the Continental Breakfast, there was nothing other than wheat based foods, which I can't eat. With all of the oranges, doesn't anyone serve fresh squeezed orange juice? It's healthier. Processed orange juice tastes processed! I do realize that it is a little costlier.
