They won us over right from the start—when we asked about a possible upgrade, they went above and beyond. We had originally booked a one-room with two beds and were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a spacious two-bedroom with a kitchen and living room. We were so impressed! The amenities were excellent—great pool and hot tub, right on the beach, plus fun extras like cornhole and other games. While we didn’t eat on-site since we enjoyed exploring local restaurants, everything the property offered made our stay easy and relaxing. One of the highlights was being able to have our fishing charter pick us up from the dock—so convenient! The staff were all friendly and helpful (special shout out to Carlos at Flippers for being excellent). However, it is time for some updates. Needs new lounge chairs on the beach and pool deck. The rooms could use some attention and if you charge premium rates I should not hear the traffic drive by all night. Time for some impact doors and windows. Also, the "dock charge" now I think is over the top especially that the boat ramp is in really bad shape. Very laid back, no one in a rush to do anything or go anywhere. We had the 2 bedroom suite which was very spacious and wonderful for travelling with older kids. Balcony was huge. Kitchen fully stocked. Anything we needed we simply texted the front desk and it was brought rather quickly. I thought it was expensive but worth it to be able to cook your own meals as most restaurants were overpriced with mediocre food. To be honest it looked like hotel was once a motel, opal came in and tried to fancy it up and improve things but it wasn't the 4 star experience it was trying to be. What I did like was the abundance of towels and lounge chairs. No need to race down to grab a spot.
