"Our stay to view the totality of the eclipse on 4/8/24 was outstanding. The clouds cooperated and the view from the deck was perfect to watch the moon's slow march across the face of the sun - and then to be plunged into darkness surrounded by the trees and mountains was otherworldly. The house was neat, clean, and had everything we wanted or needed. Marty and Melissa were the perfect hosts with super easy and fast communication. We would love to stay again even without an eclipse!"

"We just loved this cabin! Very clean and lovely, everything you'd need is available. We really enjoyed having our morning coffee on the porch overlooking the lake. Stargazing from the dock was amazing and the firepit is so close and handy from the cabin. Having kayaks at our disposal was a wonderful perk as well. I must say, my new favorite bird call is the loon. We heard them every night and morning, they sound forlorn yet beautiful. A pair of them seemed to follow us around in our kayaks....

We enjoyed the many trails on the property with the various features. The property is just outside the town of Keene and close to the nearby destininations around Lake Placid. The house is very nice with great accomodations for us. We would love to try this in the summer and enjoy more outside activities. The owner was most accomodating and kept us up to date...

"We had a lovely 3-day stay. The cabin is beautiful and the pictures represent it well. The picture window overlooking the lake is a glorious way to start a morning, and the deck and fire pit are wonderful ways to take in the lake in a quiet setting. We also enjoyed the beach a short walk away. The location is great- a mile or so outside of town and close to hiking trails. The kitchen was clean and fully outfitted to cook, and we took advantage of that a lot. We’d happily stay again."

"The cabin was clean and had all the amenities needed, plus was in a great location for hiking some high peaks. Rick was also always available to answer any questions we had. One note is there is no cell service at the cabin but as long as your phone has WiFi calling you are good to go"
