Nice, centrally located hotel, close to the main tourist hotspot of Esplanade, with most of the main sites walkable within 10 minutes. It's pretty much the ideal spot to stay in.
Room was a decent size, clean, comfortable. Only issue was at night, at the front of the hotel, there was some building work going on which woke me up early, and perhaps noise from the street cleaning. I don't know if getting a room round the back is better, but i did get a room away from floor 7 to avoid the gym above, as per my booking request, so i was very happy with that.
Staff were always friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was an excellent array of nordic delights such as smoked fish, cereals, fruit and choice of bread, definitely a good choice to set you up for the day.

"Right in the middle of Helsinki, but still quiet. "
My family arrived one after the other till 2 am. The staff were still there and produced drinks and snacks and were perfectly charming. The breakfast was excellent and the rooms spacious and comfortable. Couldn't recommend it better.

The hotel does NOT at all feel like a 4 star hotel, but more like a 2 star. The décor is stuck in the 70s and a bit worse for wear. The breakfast buffet is MASSIVE and It is nicely located by a park and within walking distance of the city center. The room was quiet which was nice. However, the hotel feels a bit more like a backpacker 2 star than a 3 or 4 star hotel.

We have stayed at this hotel twice now, it is close to the train station and busses and trams go from down the road. There are shops all around, the staff are very helpful and friendly and the buffet breakfast is very fresh and plentiful.

The ladies who manned or woman-ed(!) this, hotel, were, the best bunch of helpers I have ever encountered in all my travels. They are absolutely lovely. And full of ideas to help you on your way.
The hotel, outside, needs a good power washing! But being so centrally located, I guess it doesn't really matter !
The breakfast buffet is very very nice,,as well. It is served in the dining room and it is a very attractive spot.
I loved Hesinki and I loved this hotel.

My (single) room was small (with a wet room rather than a full bathroom) but the bed was very comfortable and there were blackout curtains for those light summer nights. Room temperature was perfect and, as it was at the rear, very quiet. Breakfast buffet was very good and you can also purchase drinks and snacks from the lobby whenever you want. Staff were very friendly too. Plus it's a few steps away from the Metro station (which I was using to attend Tuska Festival 2 stops away).
